I go into the BIOS and I leave the PC running for a few minutes cpu fan bios settings (2-3 mins?). CPU Temps hover around 29 C and Fan speeds are around 550 rpm. When I look at the fan physically, it appears to be spinning continuously.Looking at other threads at Tom's Hardware, I made sure

that my EVO's fan is plugged into CPU_FAN (and not CPU_FAN_OPT). I applied heatsink using the pea in the center method. Any thoughts? Thanks! Edit: I let it stay on for around 10-15 minutes. Temperatures are up to about 31 C, fan speeds at low 600s.Edit2: So it turns out that the BIOS' threshold for reporting a fan error is 600 rpm (fan speed displayed in red vs white). Thus, when I reset the

PC after letting it run for 10-15 minutes, it is no longer reporting a CPU Fan error (as presumably the fan is running at >600 rpm). In this case, do I still have a problem, or is it fine to just leave it alone? If your temps stay low then ignore the BIOS its probably just a glitch. Reply to OptimusPavlos1 Best answer cosmo77Apr 22, 2014, 10:41 AM I had the same issue. The 212 EVO just runs at a lower RPM than the motherboard expects a fan to run. I am running the ASUS Maximum Hero. I just changed the fan rpm sensitivity in the bios to give a warning at a lower RPM. My default fan warning was at 600RPMs, I changed it to give a warning at 500RPMs. Reply to cosmo77 Related Resources solved CPU fan error corsair H110i gt (new build) BIOS "CPU fan error" message on a two-week-old gaming build solved CPU Fan Error and Blue Screen on new gaming PC build solved CPU FAN ERROR + Overheating on New Build! 3930k + p9x79WS Hel

In order to make this message disappear from a PC on startup you have to get into the bios settings of your computer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIDrJ0uZq2U To get into the bios settings you have to press Del, F1 or F2 (varies according the different motherboard) while starting your computer as shown in this video. After getting into the bios search for fan control settings, I have to enter into the Power tab of the bios settings on this motherboard to get into the CPU Fan speed. On this motherboard CPU fan speed is N/A by default & I have to change it to Ignored to make the message of CPU fan error disappear on startup. In some motherboard the rpm of CPU fan warning is highlighted by default at 600 rpm & if you lower the rpm to 300 rpm the CPU fan error will disappear. But do remember to save the bios setting before exit by pressing F10 as shown in this video to remove the CPU fan error warning message. Hello again, If some of you remember I recently had some problems which resulted in me reformatting my computer. But after I did a reformat i've been getting an http://superuser.com/questions/552855/should-i-disable-cpu-fan-error-message-and-how error when I start up my computer that says: CPU Fan Error! Press F1 to Resume (Heres an image of the error on start up) At first i looked down at my fan and saw that it continued to cpu fan spin after this error, so I took no notice of the warning. That was 5 days ago... today i bent down to pick up something and saw that my fan wasn't even moving! I quickly removed the case cover worried that my cpu will overheat.. Can anyone explain why my fan stopped working? Did my reformat erase a driver or something thats needed for the fan? This error message is diplayed when CPU fan RPM is below specified limit. For my motherboard, specified low limit was 600 RMP and CM 212 Plus Cooler fan was running at 500-550RPM. If CPU temperature is ok, then you need not to worry. If you want to turn of this error message, then
