Will the low RPM not affect the performance of my computer?I was thinking in remove the NOCTUA NH-U12S U-TYPE and add the original cooler that come with my CPU... is this a better solution and will fix my RPM and will have a better temperature with the original? Here are some photos of temperatures and case:What do you think about this temperatures?About the last photo, the cooler fan is too close to the case fan. If you cooler actually fails you will at least know it happened. Logic tells me lowering rpm limit wont change anything with cpu performance, its rather an infromation then an active process. On the other hand nowadays CPU's have build in thermal limiters so even if it will

Getting Cpu Fan Error On Boot
times sadieb Posts: 3 This post has been reported. Hey anyone who can help, how to fix cpu fan error on boot I recently put together my first computer mostly on my own (A tech-savvy friend came over to make sure everything was plugged in right). dell cpu fan failure on boot Every time I boot up the computer, I see the error message "CPU Fan Error", but when I look at the fan, it's most definitely spinning away. Certain programs (mostly large games like Diablo 3 and Dragon Age) will crash http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1983884/cpu-fan-error-press-continue.html the program shortly after starting up, if not crashing the entire computer, and many smaller programs will freeze or close on their own, which I have been told may be a sign of overheating. I've tried restarting the computer a number of times, uninstalling the games, plugging the fan into different ports on the motherboard (in case I had it wrong), and even bought a new fan, and I still keep getting this message. I've had this new computer for http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic/cpu-fan-error-on-boot-but-fan-is-running around a week now and it has been nothing but trouble. All I want is for it to work. Can someone please help me? Reports: · Posted 4 years ago Top hArLtRoN Posts: 766 This post has been reported. Welcome to HTG sadieb, Try downloading "SpeedFan" to see what your computers temperature is at. The way to find it is to click configure once installed. Temps will then be given. Post back what the temp is usually around (ex: if it goes from like 18 to 20 to 19 to 20, just say like 20). Reports: · Posted 4 years ago Top sadieb Posts: 3 This post has been reported. According to the BIOS menu when I booted up, the CPU was sitting at around 34. As of right now, it's around 39-40. I also keep getting error messages saying that "windows explorer is not responding" every few seconds, at which point my desktop, start menu, and toolbar all reset, until finally they decide to just close instead of restarting (All that appears on my desktop is the background. No icons, no toolbar, no start menu) Reports: · Posted 4 years ago Top Xhi Posts: 6298 This post has been reported. Your fan may be running, but not at full speed which it may require. Are you absolutely sure that the CPU fan is plugged into the receptacle on the mot
Personal QuestionWhen I boot up my PC this error "CPU fan has failed" is shown. What could be the possible problem?UpdateCancelAnswer https://www.quora.com/When-I-boot-up-my-PC-this-error-CPU-fan-has-failed-is-shown-What-could-be-the-possible-problem Wiki7 Answers Leonid S. Knyshov, I run a data recovery companyWritten http://www.overclock.net/t/1343092/cpu-fan-error-on-startup 82w agoWhen the CPU fan fails to report rotational speed above the threshold of failure to the motherboard, the motherboard will alert you by saying that the CPU fan has failedOn a desktop, the CPU fan connects to your motherboard with a 4-pin (older cpu fan technology and some aftermarket fans use 3 pins) power connector. There are temperature sensors on the motherboard. There are also usually multiple 3-pin (they are sometimes 4-pin) headers (groups of multiple pins with a plastic "key" to ensure correct orientation of the connector) into which the fans get plugged in. Laptops have a similar arrangement, cpu fan error but they may use non-standard connectors. On this example board, the CPU fan is connected into the 4-pin header and there is another 3-pin header next to it.While operating properly, the CPU fan reports back to the motherboard its current rotational speed. The motherboard regulates the speed of that fan according to the temperature reported by the CPU temperature sensor. If that speed is too low or missing, the motherboard will say the fan has failed. You can simulate this failure by unplugging the fan from CPU header and connecting it to any other fan header, like Case Fan. It will still spin, but your motherboard will complain because it will think there is no CPU fan attached.Others explained how to solve the problem. Do not run a computer without a CPU fan even for a second. Use a thermal compound to improve heat transfer efficiency. The cooler your CPU operates, the happier your computer feels.4k Views · View Upvotes · Answer requested by Andrew GutschRe
