I upgraded from 0903 to 1101. Ever since that upgrade, I now get a "CPU Fan Error! Press F1 to Run Setup" message every time I start up my computer. The thing is, my CPU Fan appears to be running fine. When I press F1, rather than entering the BIOS, Windows just boots, and when I check my fan speed with AI Suite II, it is running just fine. I have done some stress testing, and the fan ramps up as expected under load. It seems that perhaps the fan is being checked before it gets moving, an error is thrown, and then the fan starts working and everything is fine. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks! Hello again, If some of you remember I recently had some problems which resulted in me reformatting my computer. But after I did a reformat i've been getting an error when I start up my computer that says: CPU Fan Error! Press F1 to Resume (Heres an image of the error on cpu fan start up) At first i looked down at my fan and saw that it continued to spin after this error, so I took no notice of the warning. That was 5 days ago... today i bent down to pick up something and saw that my fan wasn't even moving! I quickly removed the case cover worried that my cpu will overheat.. Can anyone explain why my fan stopped working? cpu fan error Did my reformat erase a driver or something thats needed for the fan?
