Try setting the cpu fan to 200 rpm or you can set it to ignore. In the bios go to the monitoring tab then fan speed monitor, cpu fan speed should be listed at the top. I'm getting an error whenever I turn the computer now that says "CPU Fan Error! Press F1 to run setup" Since I have no idea what any of the settings in the setup cpu fan error menu are, I don't know what to do in there to fix the issue, whatever it is, but previous guesswork as to what to select may actually have CAUSED this problem in the first place. What can I post here to let you guys see my fan settings so I can correct anything that's screwed up? Does this help? None of your fans are showing. Do you have the DS fan control center? If so, that's where the chassis fans are plugged in and wouldn't show in the Bios screen you posted. Hello all, I recently installed a new CPU fan. Instead of my stock 4 pin connector, my new CPU fan has only a 3 pin connector. I applied the thermal juice to the CPU and squashed down on it with a see through card. But whenever I switch my computer on, it sates "CPU fan error, press F1 to continue". I've looked at the fan and it is definitely spinning fast enough as I can feel the air coming out. I've searched on these forums with other people having similar problems, however haven't found any conclusions which suggest there is something wrong with my setup. My CPU is a pentium D, E5200, on semi-idle it runs at 58-60 degrees Celsius. Is this a high temp? I also have my CPU overclocked to 2.8 Ghz from 2.5 Ghz. Thank you! EDIT: Also when I play games like Bad Company, CPU temp goes up to around 80 degrees Celsius? Last edited by JonathanJ; 01-08-2011 at 09:09 AM.
