I have my new computer since yesterday, but Im having https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?42781-CPU-Fan-error-press-F1-to-continue some problems, when I turn on my computer I get the error "CPU Fan error, press F1, to continue". After some googling, I have found out that probably the bord or cpu have the default cooler the "stock cooler" and I have the NOCTUA NH-U12S U-TYPE. My board: ASUS MAXIMUS VI EXTREME C2 My CPU: INTEL CORE i7 4770K (3.5GHZ) SKT 1150 I know that this is happening because the RPM is around 400 when needs to be above 600. There is some ways to fix this issue like: - change in BIOS to ignore this - change in BIOS to modify 600 to 300 My question, do you suggest making this change in BIOS? Will the low RPM not affect the performance of my computer? I was thinking in remove the NOCTUA NH-U12S U-TYPE and add the original cooler that come with my CPU... is this a better solution and will fix my RPM and will have a better temperature with the original? Here are some photos of temperatures and case: What do you think about this temperatures? About the last photo, the cooler fan is too close to the case fan. Is this an problem? The other side I have the RAM sticks... Hello again, If some of you remember I recently had some problems which resulted in me reformatting my computer. But after I did a reformat i've been getting an error when I start up my computer that says: CPU Fan Error! Press F1 to Resume (Heres an image of the error on start up) At first i looked down at my fan and saw that it continued to spin after this error, so I took no notice of the warning. cpu fan That was 5 days ago... today i bent down to pick up something and saw that my fan wasn't even moving! I quickly removed the case cover worried that my cpu will overheat.. Can anyone explain why my fan stopped working? Did my reformat erase a driver or something thats needed for the fan? Is there any other solution to this problem other then hauling my heavy computer to the shop that made it? Reports: · Posted 6 years ago Top LH Posts: 20002 This post has been reported. Take the fan out, connect it up to an external power supply. What happens ? Reports: · Posted 6 years ago Top Richard0600 Posts: 51 This post has been reported. I dont think i'm that comfortable with handling computers, I've never assembled one before... so taking out the fan seems a bit too complicated... and if there are no other solutions to this problem I will probably haul my computer back down to the shop... but as for the moment is there any other method? The red light on the fan still lights up its just the fans not spinning, so i believe there is still power going into the fan if that was what
