Hello all, I recently installed a new CPU fan. Instead of my stock cpu fan error 4 pin connector, my new CPU fan has only a 3 pin connector. I applied the thermal juice to the CPU and squashed down on it with a see through card. But whenever I switch my computer on, it sates "CPU fan error, press F1 to continue". I've looked at the fan and it is definitely spinning fast enough as I can feel the air coming out. I've searched on these forums with other people having similar problems, however haven't found any conclusions which suggest there is something wrong with my setup. My CPU is a pentium D, E5200, on semi-idle it runs at 58-60 degrees Celsius. Is this a high temp? I also have my CPU overclocked to 2.8 Ghz from 2.5 Ghz. Thank you! EDIT: Also when I play games like Bad Company, CPU temp goes up to around 80 degrees Celsius? Last edited by JonathanJ; 01-08-2011 at 09:09 AM.
