Cpu Fan Fail Warning
24, 2013 1:41:12 PM As my sig says: "Identify the problem before applying a solution" "CPU Fan failure" would seem to indicate an issue with the CPU fan. Shutting down after a couple of minutes reinforces that (CPU overheating). Is the CPU fan plugged in and working correctly? m 0 l ingtar33 a c 298 à CPUs a b Î Nvidia April 24, 2013 1:42:03 PM you're killing your cpu STOP! Hopefully this is just a case of the CPU fan cable coming loose. in which case you can just reattach it. Depending on how many times you have tried to run it you may have killed to CPU by repeatedly heating the CPU to a temperature that is higher that that which it is designed to run at. Hopefully for your sake the TDP cut out has saved you from that 50/50 chance really. Mactronix Share XPragmatic April 24, 2013 1:56:38 PM Ok, I fixed the problem. I opened up my computer again and saw that a cable was blocking the CPU fan. So, I moved it, turned the computer back on, and the error disappeared. m 0 l ingtar33 a c 298

In order to make this message disappear from a PC on startup you have to get into the bios settings of your computer. To get into the bios settings you have to press Del, F1 or F2 (varies according the different motherboard) while starting your computer as shown in this video. After https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIDrJ0uZq2U getting into the bios search for fan control settings, I have to enter into the Power tab of the bios settings on this motherboard to get into the CPU Fan speed. On this motherboard CPU fan speed is N/A by default & I have to change it to Ignored to make the message of CPU fan error disappear on startup. In some motherboard the rpm of CPU fan warning is highlighted by default at 600 rpm & if you lower the rpm to 300 rpm the CPU fan error will disappear. But do remember to save the bios setting before exit by pressing F10 as shown in this video to remove the CPU fan error warning message. I'm hoping someone can help me as I am totally at a loss as what to try next. Ok, so my mother bought a HP Slimline S5305Z desktop PC. Had it for several months with no problems. Then ocasionally when she would restart it she would get a"ERROR: CPU Fan Has Failed! PC will automatically power down in a few seconds. Service the PC immediately to prevent damage to the PC." She would restart it and no error. I opened it up to make sure the cpu fan connector was seated properly and it was. Finally she purchased a new desktop and gave me her old one. "Let the fun begin!"....So I brought it home, got everything hooked back up and commenced to using it on a daily basis. Well whenever I would need to restart it due to updates or whatever I would get the same cpu fan error but It went from occasionally to everytime it was restarted. Now whenever I need

This annoyance may result from a variety of reasons. The most obvious reason is the computer maintenance that is usually overlooked by many of us like keeping a dust-free system, appropriate CPU cooling, or running diskmaintenanceutility randomly. The parts of your computer system are not immune to damages. As a consequence, they suffer from periodic failures. The computer fan is designed to keep the integral parts of your computer system from overheating. In the event of CPU fan failure, the components may overheat leading to damage. If the internal drive of the system heats up, you will be at the peril of permanent data loss.A CPU fan failure is followed by various weird things that would alert you that something with the system has gone awry. You will experience the following when the fan inside your computer case becomes faulty:NoiseYour CPU fan serves the purpose of cooling the machine by spinning quietly in the background. The fan usually becomes noisier during a system shutdown or startup. When the fan starts emitting a rattling sound, there is a good chance that the fan is about to fail. This typically happens because of the dust that accumulates on the fan over time.OverheatingWhen the fan fails to serve the purpose of cooling computer components, these components overheat leading to a noticeable performance decline. A computer with overheated parts tends to freeze and lock up randomly. Overheating of hard drive is the most deadly sign of a fan failure. If you
