with a i5 6600k and a thermalright true spirit 140 and when i turn on my pc i get a CPU fan error. I lowered the RMP option for the warning message and currently it's disabled but the warning still appears. Then i press F1 for the BIOS and exit, and then it's normal boot... I realized that when i turn my pc on the cpu fan takes about 2sec to start spinning, is that normal? What can i do to overcome this situation? thanks Best Regards Reply With Quote 11-27-201510:15 PM #2 Chino View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message ROG Guru: Grand Master Array Join Date Oct 2012 Reputation 323 Posts 12,721 I've noticed that the fans for the Thermalright heatsinks have a slight delay before powering on. You can either disable the warning or change the fan. No other way around it. In order to make this message disappear from a PC on startup you have to get into the bios settings of your computer. To cpu fan error get into the bios settings you have to press Del, F1 or F2 (varies according the different motherboard) while starting your computer as shown in this video. After getting into the bios search for fan control settings, I have to enter into the Power tab of the bios settings on this motherboard to get into the CPU Fan speed. On this motherboard CPU fan speed is N/A by default & I have to change it to Ignored to make the message of CPU fan error disappear on startup. In some motherboard the rpm of CPU fan warning is highlighted by default at 600 rpm & if you lower the rpm to 300 rpm the CPU fan error will disappear. But do remember to save the bios setting before exit by pressing F10 as shown in this video to remove the CPU fan error warning message.
