I have my new computer corsair h100 cpu fan error since yesterday, but Im having some problems, when I turn on my computer I get the error "CPU Fan error, press F1, to continue". After some googling, I have found http://www.clubic.com/forum/hardware-general/asus/resolu-supprimer-erreur-cpu-fan-error-id918387-page1.html out that probably the bord or cpu have the default cooler the "stock cooler" and I have the NOCTUA NH-U12S U-TYPE. My board: ASUS MAXIMUS VI EXTREME C2 My CPU: INTEL CORE i7 4770K (3.5GHZ) SKT 1150 I know that this is happening because the RPM is around 400 when needs to be above 600. There is some ways to fix this http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1983884/cpu-fan-error-press-continue.html issue like: - change in BIOS to ignore this - change in BIOS to modify 600 to 300 My question, do you suggest making this change in BIOS? Will the low RPM not affect the performance of my computer? I was thinking in remove the NOCTUA NH-U12S U-TYPE and add the original cooler that come with my CPU... is this a better solution and will fix my RPM and will have a better temperature with the original? Here are some photos of temperatures and case: What do you think about this temperatures? About the last photo, the cooler fan is too close to the case fan. Is this an problem? The other side I have the RAM sticks... FAN. You can refer to the steps below to resolve the issue. https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1006064 Â 1. Please make sure the CPU FAN is installed http://canardpc.com/forums/threads/73267-D%C3%A9marrage-%C3%A0-froid-et-CPU-FAN-error on the right position of the motherboard and twist the screws tightly 2. Ensure that the CPU FAN cable is securely installed to the CPU_FAN connector instead of the CHA_FAN. 3. If you install the other brand of CPU FAN with lower cpu fan revolutions speed, the system may not able to detect it correctly. You can try to set "CPU Fan Speed Low Limit" to 200 RPM in BIOS configuration. * "CPU Fan Speed Low Limit" appears only when you set the CPU Q-Fan Control to [DC Mode], [PWM Mode], and [Auto]. For those early cpu fan error versions, you need to set the CPU Q-Fan Control to [Enabled], [Advance Mode] or [Auto]. 4. You can set Monitor->CPU FAN Speed to [Ignore] if you don't want to open the computer case. *You can set CPU FAN Speed to [Ignore] if your computer coming with water cooling system without fan. 5. Update the BIOS to the latest version. http://www.asus.com/support/faq/1008279/ Â If the issue still occurs, please consult with ASUS Service Center.

Envoyé par Thelonious Monk When you are swinging, swing some more! Envoyé par Thelonious Monk When you are swinging, swing some more!
