My motherboard is an asus Z97-Pro (wifi). When I first booted my computer I get the CPU Fan error which made me go into Bios to try and solve it. When I go into bios, it doesnt even detect the cpu fan speed. My cooler is working but I want to know how I can find a way for my system to register the fan and be able to monitor the cpu fan speed. Does anyone know what to do to fix this? Thanks. I purposely chosen just assembly service (100 bucks) as they will charge 20 bucks installing aftermarket cooler. The case arrived this morning (WITH THE STOCK FAN INSTALLED, WTF! Got trolled... ) SO i spent 2 and a half hour to get the CM 212 EVO installed. cpu fan NOW, each time my friend boot his PC he get this error "CPU Fan error". But the fan is working... and I connected the pin to the CPU fan header correctly (this mobo provides two CPU fan header, tried switch to either one... same error) The Error msg comes out right after the 1st screen, which is the motherboard ads. And it will require you to press F1 to start the BIOS. And the BIOS let me get away with cpu fan error it!! I simply clicked "ESC" and "Leave BIOS and Exit". The PC will now start running the window. Anyone knows how to fix this error? Try turning of the 'no fan' warning in the bios. Just keep an eye on the temps for a while to make sure it is all working as it should be.
