you have a 4-pin connector? If so, then you are in the same boat as me. I have the Cooler Master 212+ running with two Scythe Slipstream fans which are just 3-pin fans. I have it plugged into the 4-pin CPU slot and in the BIOS you just have to change the fan type for the CPU_Fan plug to "DC Fan" on the "Hardware Monitor" section of the BIOS setup Share Precision690FAN 2 March 2011 10:15:05 sweet! Cpu Fan Error Press F1 To Run Setup
someone can help.I'm using the Arctic Cooling Freezer rev.2, and the M4A87TD EVO asus motherboard and AMD Phenom II X6 1075T. I swapped original AMD asus cpu fan error press f1 coolerand installed theArctic Cooling Freezer rev.2 instead. System seems to be working fine but I get a CPU fan error (press F1 to resume) on startup. Also when I use PC Probe it tells me the CPU fan is at 0 rpm, http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/300257-28-fixing-error-asus-m4a89td-usb3 even though I can see thatit is spinning. PC Probe says my CPU and Motherboard are both running at 26-28 degrees celcius, which I don't think is a problem. Kinda lost as to what might be causing this error. Also, just want to note that this ismy first pc build.....so I was thinking that maybe I did something wrong when I installed the cpu, although I'm kinda sure I didn't.Thanks in advance! I'm pretty sure I have it connected the right way.I looked it up in the motherboard manual to make sure, and it actually says cpu_fan on the motherboardwhere it's meant to be connected so i don't know whats wrong.I went into bios and checked the cpu fan in power settings. It goes from N/A(as if the fan isn't connected at all) andthen the RPMs kick up for a few seconds toa few thousand rpm for a few secondsand then it goes back to N/A again, only to repeat over and over. It's like it's works for a few seconds and thenstops working for a few seconds. A bit odd. Any ideas? Edit Reply Quote & Reply M4A87TD EVO Motherboard, AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition, 4GB (2x2GB) Patriot Gam

I am using a Ultra ChillTec Black Overclocking CPU Cooler and it only connects for power via Molex connect not the 4 pin motherboard connector. I spent alot of hard earned cash on this PC cpu fan and I would like to know if their is a fix around this. Any suggestions let me know.
