I've got cpu fan error asus a Noctua NH-U14S for CPU cooling and it's plugged into the main CPU fan connection. The motherboard cpu fan error but fan is working acknowledges the existence of the CPU fan but it seems to think it's running too low (it's at 568 RPM with a CPU temperature of 32C how to fix cpu fan error on boot showing BIOS). It seems the lowest RPM without warning is 600RPM.I'm a total noob so I'm really just clueless about if this is an actual issue or not. Is 32C for a CPU that's just showing BIOS normal? Should my CPU fan cpu fan error press f1 to resume be working harder right now and keeping the CPU cooler? If this isn't an issue, I'm guessing it's all right to lower the threshold for cpu fan warning to something closer to 400-500RPM, right? If this isn't normal and it's an actual problem, what can I do about it? I mean, the fan is recognized by the system and it seems to run, just a bit slower than the motherboard expects it to. Then again, I can't run any tests on it (playing games or stuff like

As soon as you boot up, grab a temp monitoring program (CoreTemp, RealTemp, etc..) and watch it there. If things stay pretty cool (within 5c or so of your BIOS reading), you should be good to go. Best answer geofeltJul 9, 2013, 4:57 PM I have had the same issue. In the motherboard bios, there will be some fan control settings. One sets the rpm at which a fan warning is issued. The default is likely 600 rpm.Just lower that number to 300 rpm, and you should be good. The noctua coolers run very quiet because they do not need high rpm fans. Cpu Fan Speed Error Detected Asus
Share LuisT January 17, 2014 2:09:22 AM Hello guys, Maybe someone can help me.... I have my asus cpu fan error press f1 new computer since yesterday, but Im having some problems, when I turn on my computer I get the error "CPU Fan error, press F1, to cpu fan error water cooling continue". After some googling, I have found out that probably the bord or cpu have the default cooler the "stock cooler" and I have the NOCTUA NH-U12S U-TYPE. My board: ASUS MAXIMUS VI EXTREME C2 My CPU: INTEL CORE i7 4770K (3.5GHZ) http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1728332/cpu-fan-error-boot.html SKT 1150 I know that this is happening because the RPM is around 400 when needs to be above 600. There is some ways to fix this issue like: - change in BIOS to ignore this - change in BIOS to modify 600 to 300 My question, do you suggest making this change in BIOS? Will the low RPM not affect the performance of my computer? I was thinking in remove the NOCTUA NH-U12S U-TYPE and add the original cooler that come with my http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1983884/cpu-fan-error-press-continue.html CPU... is this a better solution and will fix my RPM and will have a better temperature with the original? Here are some photos of temperatures and case: What do you think about this temperatures? About the last photo, the cooler fan is too close to the case fan. Is this an problem? The other side I have the RAM sticks... If you cooler actually fails you will at least know it happened. Logic tells me lowering rpm limit wont change anything with cpu performance, its rather an infromation then an active process. On the other hand nowadays CPU's have build in thermal limiters so even if it will be overheating in any case, it will limit its speed as a protection or shut down in extremal situation. Your temps shown in bios has almost none information value since the CPU is working on IDLE state, go for some real test and monitor temperatures. I cant see any reason why would you want to swap back to original cooler, except the fact that at this moment its making some weird and illogical alerts which i believe can be handled in few seconds. m 0 l Best solution GhislainG a c 591 à CPUs a c 509 V Motherboard January 17, 2014 5:44:27 AM Why not chang

Hello again, If some of you remember I recently had some problems which resulted in me reformatting my computer. But after I did a reformat i've been getting an error when I start up my computer that says: CPU Fan Error! Press F1 to Resume (Heres cpu fan an image of the error on start up) At first i looked down at my fan and saw that it continued to spin after this error, so I took no notice of the warning. That was 5 days ago... today i bent down to pick up something and saw that my fan wasn't even moving! I quickly removed the case cover worried that my cpu will overheat.. cpu fan error Can anyone explain why my fan stopped working? Did my reformat erase a driver or something thats needed for the fan?
