P6T Deluxe V2 i7 920 D0 Thermaltek Ultra 120 eXtreme (with Fan) The fan connector from the HSF is a 3 pin while the m/b CPU fan slot is 4 pin so I've connected https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1006064 it to one of the 3 pin slots on the m/b instead. CPU temp is around 40C in the BIOS. Is the error simply because there's no fan connected to the CPU fan slot? Do I need to get a 3 to 4 pin converter or something to connect it to the proper slot, or will it be alright to ignore the error in BIOS? You can either just plug it in the 4-pin header (it fits in and runs just fine, the fourth pin just sits there unused) or go to the BIOS settings > hardware monitoring and set the CPU fan speed to "Ignore". __________________ Intel Core i5 3570K @ 4.5GHz || Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme || Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H || 2x 8GB Corsair Vengeance LP DDR3 1600MHz CL10 || Radeon 4870 512MB || AC Accelero Twin Turbo Pro || Asus Xonar DX || Samsung 830 128GB || 2x WD Blue 640GB || Corsair HX620 || Antec P182 || Samsung SM 2232 + 2233 || Windows Server 2012 mm vr View Pu

I'm then instructed to press F1 to enter setup. I should mention that I have NOT installed Windows 8.1 yet but I have updated the motherboard bios to the most current version (1305). I have not changed any UEFI settings other than the one listed below. Once inside the UEFI I can see that the CPU FAN isn't recognized (it is greyed out). Worth mention is that the CPU temp seems to be normal, hovers around 30C while in the UEFI. I have double and tripled checked the installation of the H100i and I will detail here how I have it currently installed. - both H100i radiator fans connected to the included "Y" connector and plugged into the pump body - SATA connector from pump body plugged into SATA cable from PSU - 3-pin RPM connector (really one wire) connected to CPU_FAN header on mot
