Error 1324 The Path My Documents Contains An Invalid Character
Adobe Reader X, or upgrade/update on Windows 7 Pro workstations. This also happens when I try to update Adobe Standard products that are on our workstations. This is an Active Directory based network, and users have their Documents folder redirected to a network server. Users have full rights over that folder, so using a network location should not be an issue. This is absolutely ridiculous that this should be a problem.I've error 1324 the path my documents contains an invalid character win 7 seen several solutions, such as repointing the Documents folder to their C drive again and then back, but that is a ludicrous solution. I'm lucky that only a few of our workstations are Win 7 currently and that I have not been made aware of this issue on Windows XP Pro. I couldn't imagine having to touch 250 workstation to fix this problem.Re-redirecting the Documents folder it is NOT a solution it is a bandaid for something broken.Does anyone know of a fix or solution to this problem? Here is some information about the error 1324: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292582 Karl Heinz Kremer PDF Acrobatics Without a Net PDF Software Development, Training and More... http://www.khkonsulting.com By Karl Heinz error 1324 Kremer Edit Answer (for another -8 minute) The Cleaner did remove Reader 10.1.6 from my computer. I then tried to download and install Reader 11. The install got to 67%, the same as before, then stalled and I got the same error message (#1324). I now have no Adobe Reader on my computer. I then downloaded SODA PDF Reader. It works OK but is not as convenient as Reader was. Norman R. Forson error 1324 the Edit Answer (for another -25 minute) I am sorry that this did not work. The discussion here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/463026 suggests that this problem may be caused by the location of your My Documents folder, and if that's the case, you should be able to point this to a local directory, install Reader, and then have it point back to the network location. But How do I point "My Documents" to C? It is now under C:/users/Norman/. Adobe reader was under C:/programs(x86). That folder is now gone. Norman R.
