I am in a corporate environment and my "My Documents" folder is mapped to a network drive. Any advice? I did not http://www.infragistics.com/community/forums/t/82813.aspx have read permissions to the folder just below "My Documents". I think the networking team here had made some sort of a change recently. Once these permissions were changed it started working correctly. Thanks for your help! Also can you attach the log file of the installer itself? This will allow us to see what the actual reason for such behavior may be. Thank you. I created a file I gave the extension ".gpx" using notepad and the Gmap to GPX converter (I copied the text from GmaptoGPX and pasted it into Notepad then saved it with the gpx extension). This file is a route that follows the Blue Ridge Parkway. It took 24 points to force Google to follow the parkway. Anyway, I would now like to check the route in MapSource error 1324 the but cannot remember how to load the route.I also have the coordinates of the points I used to force Google in an excel file and a word file. If it is simpler, I guess I could load these points along the Blue Ridge Parkway into MapSource but I don't want to do that manually.Help please.Jim Ads NanaimoRick Canada 7852 Posts Posted-23 août 2011: 03:58:51 If it's a valid gpx file you should be able to open it in Mapsource using File - Open - change the box in the lower right corner of the Open box to show GPS eXchange format (*.gpx), select the gpx file you create and click open. What makes a file a valid gpx file? The one I created is pure ASCII, I think, since it was created from Notepad. It has the file structure that Gmap to GPX gave it. Would that make it a valid gpx file? Jim NanaimoRick Canada 7852 Posts Posted-23 août 2011: 16:15:57 I'm no expert at this but I
tried to install google earth and its happened again. I start the install program and it comes up with an "exception processing message" with loads of digits after it. I can get it running and then I get a failure message stating "Error 1324 The path Start menu contains an invalid character". Same thing happens when I try to update Mapsource and Itunes. Any help gratefully received. BTW I'm running Windows XP. exeter_lad27-04-08, 22:23It would appear that your registry has an incorrect path for installation folders. Look at these for a description of the problem/possible solution http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44529 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292582 Do remember to backup the registry as described in the microsoft link before you start. Hope this helps. Timbo28-04-08, 18:23Cheers - hopefully should be sorted now... Powered by vBulletin Version 4.2.3 Copyright © 2016 vBulletin Solutions, Inc. All rights reserved.
