This also happens when I try to update Adobe Standard products that are on our workstations. This is an Active Directory based network, and users have their Documents folder redirected to a network server. Users have full rights over that folder, so using a network location should not be an issue. This is absolutely ridiculous that this should be a problem.I've seen several solutions, such as repointing the Documents https://forums.adobe.com/thread/858745 folder to their C drive again and then back, but that is a ludicrous solution. I'm lucky that only a few of our workstations are Win 7 currently and that I have not been made aware of this issue on Windows XP Pro. I couldn't imagine having to touch 250 workstation to fix this problem.Re-redirecting the Documents folder it is NOT a solution it is a bandaid for something broken.Does anyone know of a fix or solution to this problem? As soon as Irun it it comes up http://newwikipost.org/topic/FtAof4H4rDKfBy1BA2XeLdXiJAFtfO2L/Quicktime-Error-Code-Error-47-Invalid-URL.html with the error, can't find physxloader.dll Okay thinks I, no problem. I grab the newest version of the PhysX and run it. And this is where the main problem hits, it tells me that Error Code 1324, Some character error 1324 in Documentation and Items isn't valid. I have no clue what to do at this point. I've been back and forward trying to sort it out, I really don't want to have to take this game back and give up. The problem may be that I'm running a Radeon (*cringe-moan*). Could anyone help me? PURLEASE? You could try moving the physx setup to another location, preferably one with a short path, like C:\\. Back to top #3 Akaimaira Posted 11 December 2009 - 11:09 PM Akaimaira Members 12 posts I've already tried that one, tried in four different locations including different hard drives and disks... I've also tried about six different versions of the ohysX... *sigh* Back to top #4 whtnyte-raernst Posted 11 December 2009 - 11:16 PM whtnyte-raernst Members 549 posts Try creating a C:\\\\DragonAge directory, then do a custom install and tell it to install the game in that directory (or whatever you decide to call the directory) Back to top #5 roybm Posted 11 December 2009 - 11:39 PM roybm Members 114 posts did you try uninstalling physx completely first than reinstalling a fresh copy? Use revo uninstaller in advanced mode and see if it works. Back to top #6 Akaimaira Posted 12 December 2009 - 08:31 PM Akaimaira Members 12 posts Okay so I uninstalled Physx but I still can't install it. I also tried the custom install but the problem doesn't seem so much to be the game but getting PhysX to work. I have uninstalled and installed. Searched the 'net - seems like many are having the problem. The odd thing is that last week while traveling and using hotel's wi-fi I got a 'mime' code notice - I clicked yes and it worked then - then not working at home. We have a wi-fi system at home. We had a local shop do a "wipe and restore" on it. It was starting to get BSOD stop errors before this but went totally insane with them after he used it for a couple weeks. It was running windows xp pro but I didn't pick up on the pro part of it until it was too late to back out of my blunder. I had a disk and product key for windows xp home edition 2003 and used that to re-install the OS, thinking only that widows xp is windows xp, not of the versions thereof. I am getting an error message saying that the product key is invalid. other info-There is a xp pro product key on the bottom of the laptop but I don't have an install cd as it was preloaded.-I am not using the computer I need help with to contact you. It has no OS.-The xp home edition disk came with a e-machines desktop that died.Thank for providing a place for those of us trying to learn our way around our computers without having it cost an arm and a leg (IE: Microsoft support).
