Their installation software used to be top-notch. For the past few years it has gotten worse and worse. You might try installing the software to a different location from the default location, i.e., create a folder in the root directory of the C drive named HP or HewPac and see if it will install there. You might also look in the My Pictures folder and see if there's a mangled or mis-named file there that could be causing the problem, like a file that starts with a character that's not on the keyboard. If so, erase it. Good Luck ! >-----Original Message----- >I am trying to load software for HP Officejet 6110xi onto my computer but get >the above message. Have Windows XP Hom
over 10 years and upgraded to Quicken 2007 earlier this year (OS is WinXP SP2). Yesterday Quicken and all its data files got erased (I had a data file backup) due to me running a program I shouldn't have http://www.beansmart.com/quicken/quicken-won-t-install-6977-.htm (stay away from "De-crapifier"). I cannot reinstall Quicken. The install program starts, then returns an error 1324 saying "The path Program Files contains an invalid character." The name of the "Program Files" folder has not changed. I have http://www.hiteksoftware.com/knowledge/articles/049.htm purged my hard drive of all the leftover Quicken files (mostly shortcuts) and also purged the registry of all Quicken references but nothing has helped. I don't know what to try next. All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks. You *HAVE* to install Q. Copying files will not work.. Contact options for registered users posted on June 16, 2007, 3:57 pm It was just the data files I restored from the backup. I'm trying to install Q2007 from the original CD using the install program. All the Q program files have been deleted so it should look like a brand new install. Contact options for registered users posted on June 16, 2007, 4:42 pm I used the "Windows installer cleanup" to remove install info for Quicken and then installed just fine.
