[On Page Server: BDC.pageserver]Anyone know what is happening?Thank you very much RE: Error encountered by Crystal PageServer lyanch (Programmer) 18 Sep 02 12:22 If the report requires parameters, you can't (or at least I haven't figure out how to) schedule it from the CMC.The error you see is the one I got when I tried.Essentially its saying that it doesn't have the info for the parameters. You can schedule reports with parameters from eportfolio fairly easily. The only thing to remember is to go to the parameter tab before sceduling. If that isn't your problem, do you get the same result when hitting the "run now" button from the instances tab in the CMC?How about when you try "preview" from the CMC properties tab?Does it prompt you for any values or just run?Lisa RE: Error encountered by Crystal PageServer megias (TechnicalUser) (OP) 18 Sep

Crystal Enterprise 10 - Cache/Page Server error Discussion in 'Business Applications' started by RobPimlott, Nov 16, 2012. Thread Status: Not open for further replies. Advertisement RobPimlott Thread Starter Joined: Nov 16, 2012 Messages: 1 Hi, My client is using Crystal Enterprise 10 on a single server and is getting the message below quite frequently, with no real pattern to what's causing it. It appears to be more frequent since installing a full SP2 about a month ago to resolve a PDF Shrinkage issue. Before I start making changes to the server settings, has anyone any suggestions http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=362348 on either the cause or the solution? Hope you can help. Today, 4 error encountered by reports ran and got the error "Encapsulating page failed". The reports haven't changed and neither have the Tomcats or Java. On the main Mid-Tier we are running Mid-Tier 7.5, Tomcat 6.0.29 and Java 1.6.0_21. On the reporting Mid-Tier we are running Mid-Tier 7.6.03, Tomcat 5.5.28 and Java 1.6.0_20. We are using Crystal Reports 2008 V1 SP2. I'm checking with SAP as well. On that site and the web I saw mention of checking the access from the Report Server host to the AR System Server host (verified via telnet) and changing the default view format in the Crystal Reports CMS Preference page to "Web ActiveX (ActiveX required)" (no affect). Has anyone encountered this error or have any idea what the solution is? 3112Views Tags: none (add) arContent tagged with ar, mid_tierContent tagged with mid_tier, reportsContent tagged with reports, systemContent tagged with system, midtierContent tagged with midtier, serverContent tagged with server, crystalContent tagged with crystal, 7.6.03Content tagged with 7.6.03 This content has been marked as final.
