Before this, we had Adobe 7.x Pro and had no troubles digitally signing documents, clearing those digital signature to reuse old documents, etc.We first got Acrobat 9.x and had issues with digital signatures right away. We had to import this into the registry, which I believe I found on adobe forum.Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\9.0\Security\cASPKI\cASPKI\cCustomCertPrefs\c4974BB0C5EBA7AFE0254EF7BA0C695C60980 7096][HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\9.0\Security\cASPKI\cASPKI\cCustomCertPrefs\c4974BB0C5EBA7AFE0254EF7BA0C695C60980 7096\cAdobe_OCSPRevChecker][HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\9.0\Security\cASPKI\cASPKI\cCustomCertPrefs\c4974BB0C5EBA7AFE0254EF7BA0C695C60980 7096\cAdobe_OCSPRevChecker\cURL][HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\9.0\Security\cASPKI\cASPKI\cCustomCertPrefs\c4974BB0C5EBA7AFE0254EF7BA0C695C60980 7096\cAdobe_OCSPRevChecker\cURL\c0]"sValue"=hex:68,74,74,70,3a,2f,2f,6f,63,73,70,2e,64,69,73,61,2e,6d,69,6c,00[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\9.0\Security\cASPKI\cASPKI\cCustomCertPrefs\c4974BB0C5EBA7AFE0254EF7BA0C695C60980 7096\cAdobe_OCSPRevChecker\cURLToConsult][HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\9.0

I have configured VeriSign TSA server http://timestamp.verisign.com/scripts/timstamp.dll and it returns that error. I have tried Comodo CA http://timestamp.comodoca.com/authenticode and Aruba https://servizi.arubapec.it/tsa/ngrequest.php but all three returned the same exact error. My PDFs are now signed without a certified timestamp and this is a http://superuser.com/questions/443164/error-encountered-while-ber-decoding-in-adobe-acrobat-pro-x-when-applying-time problem for me. I'm obliged to sign documents and apply a certified timestamp at the same time. This seems to be a common error in Acrobat, but I found no solution to it. Can somebody help me? [Update] Thanks to Wireshark I found this Request POST /scripts/timstamp.dll HTTP/1.1 Accept: */* Content-Type: application/timestamp-query Content-Length: 53 Character-Encoding: binary User-Agent: PPKHandler Host: timestamp.verisign.com Connection: Keep-Alive Cache-Control: no-cache 03...0!0...+.............031.z&...y.z......+[.JeG....
