One of the companies that make this program is Soft Thinks. You can try asking Toshiba for a new recovery disk. Their policy change from country to country, I do not know if it will came for free or you will have to purchase the recovery disks from Toshiba. In any case, if the files in the recovery partitions are still intact you should be able to do a complete system recovery at any time. In this case doing a complete system restore from your recovery partition will bring back the program. On many Toshiba laptops you have to press F11 when it prompts you at startup. Bear in mind that if you choose this solution, it will wipe your drive clean and re-install the OS. hope this helps Posted on Feb 15, 2008 Helpful 0 Not Helpful Flag You can't post conmments that contain an email address. × Comment Anonymously Video Images M Nelson 58 Answers SOURCE: Error 0x400 100 130000 1002 while restoring factory image HP I am assuming you are trying to reinstall Vista. the error "Couldn't modify partition map because file system verification failed." you can fix the problem with the file system check command line utility. To issue the file system check and repair function properly, you'll need to boot into Single User Mode as well. This walkthrough will demonstrate the necessary steps. Fixing "Partition Failed" Errors in Mac OS X Reboot the Mac into Single User Mode by holding Command+S during boot At the command prompt, type: /sbin/fsck -fy When fsck is complete, type "exit" or "reboot" to reboot Boot the Mac as usual, verify the disk again in Disk Utility, and partition as usual Boot the Mac as usual and relaunch Disk Utility to verify the disk. Go ahead and partition the drive as usual, this time without any such error message. I have encountered this error a few times when partitioning the boot drive from OS X Lion, most recently after a clean installation when setting up dual boot for OS X Lion and Mountain Lion. The cause of this remains to be seen, and repairing the disk from Disk Utility itself doesn't work, even when in Single User Mode or when booting from another drive. Do note that "fsck" can take a while to run and complete, depending on the size of the drive. You can also use the ‘fsck_hfs' command if desired. Enjoy this tip?
