the Domino server. Technote (troubleshooting) Problem Error updating certifier ID while recertifying any user on the Domino server. The following error is displayed while trying to update the certificates stored in the Certifier ID with those from the directory on the server you selected. Entry not found index Do you wish to continue without updating the Certifier ID? Cause Incorrect public key on the Certificate document for that certifier OR Certificate document for that certifier is found missing in the Certificates view. Resolving the problem Please follow the below steps to resolve the issue: 1. Open the http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1LO39584 Domino Directory and go to the Configuration tab. 2. Click on the Certificates tab, and compare whether you have a certifier document listed there in that view for the certifier ID which you have chosen to do the recertification. A) If there is no certifier document listed for that Certifier then, create a new Certifier document by clicking on "ADD CERTIFIER". This will open the Add certifier document http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21431220 and paste the public key from the cert.ID which you have chosen to do the recertification. B) If the certifier document exists, then compare the public keys listed in that document with the public keys on the certifier ID file. If you face any problem, you can remove the existing public key from that certifier document and paste the public key from the cert.ID file. Getting public key from the cert ID file: 1. Open the Administration client and click on Configuration ----> Certification-----> ID Properties. It will ask to choose the ID file to examine. 2. Select the cert ID file, and give the password for that. It will open the ID properties for the cert ID file. 3. Navigate to "YOUR IDENTITY" tab and extract the Public key from the cert ID file by clicking on Other Actions ----> Mail, copy certificates (public key). server to 7.04* Today I noticed screens full of the following error on the console: Error Updating view '#XXXXXX' in MAIL\username/nsf: Entry not http://www.notesonproductivity.com/ICA/NOP.nsf/dx/hotfix-error-updating-view-in-....-entry-not-found-in-index found in index According to this thread in the Notes/Domino 6 & 7 Forum, this is a known issue with 7.04. One post provides steps, apparently from IBM, to fix the problem. Another references a HotFix 704HF37 that is supposed to fix the problem. All of the links to this hotfix appear to be broken. Has anyone seen this error updating problem and/or a fix for it? * I'm waiting for Domino 8.51 Gold and for my add-in tasks to be certified for 8.5 Posted at 01:44:36 AM, PST in Lotus Notes Discussion/Comments (2): Simon O'Doherty (http://www.bleedyellow.com/blogs/Simon/): 10/3/2009 7:26:13 AM Server Hotfix Error updating view in .... Entry not found in index Hotfixes are supplied by support and are normally coded error updating view for certain builds and logged for the customers who open the call. They are not supposed to give it to others without permission. The reason for this is that if something is wrong with the hotfix it can be recalled. So those links shouldn't of been posted and normally only last 1 week from when the fix was supplied to the customer. You will need to open a PMR with support if you need that hotfix. Eric Mack (www.ica.com): 10/19/2009 9:24:26 AM re: Server Hotfix Error updating view in .... Entry not found in index Thanks, Simon, for the hotfix explanation. I think I had confused Hot Fixes with Fix Packs. Discussion for this entry is now closed.
