Unable To Find Any Replicas For Free/busy Folder Exchange 2010
or later public folder replica for the free/busy folder: EX:/O={your domain/OU={your administrative group} The message is quite straight forward, Older Outlook clients (2003 and earlier) get their scheduling and calendaring info from the "SHEDULE+ free/busy" public folder. Newer Outlook clients (2007 and later) don't need to do this. You are seeing this error message because, a) you have Older Outlook clients in your Exchange org, or b) Someone forgot to replicate this public folder over to Exchange 2010 when you upgraded. Solution 1. On the Exchange Management Console > Toolbox > Public Folder Management Console > Expand "System Public Folders" > Expand "SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY" > Select the folder that's generating the error > Right Click > Properties. 2. Replication tab > Add > Add in the Exchange 2010 Server > Apply. 3. Finally, either reboot the server, or restart the MSExchangeMailboxAssistant Service. I replicated the folders using PFDAdmin after i could not open them on System Manager on the Exchange 2003 box. I am still running the EX2003 box and need to for a few more months. Still, i have continual errors on my EX2010 box: Error 14029 in the application log I also get errors on the outlook client in the Sync Issues folder every 15 minutes: 14:00:37 Synchronizer Version 12.0.6529 14:00:37 Synchronizing Mailbox 'My Name' 14:00:37 Done 14:00:37 Microsoft Exchange offline address book 14:00:37 0X8004010F Log Name: Application Source: MSExchangeMailboxAssistants Date: 8/17/2010 10:49:23 PM Event ID: 14029 Task Category: FreeBusy Assistant Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: EX2010.domain.local Description: Couldn't find an Exchange 2010 or later public folder server with a replica for the free/busy folder: EX:/o=First Organization/ou=first administrative group. The old Exchange server is still in place, but am almost ready to decommission it. Whenever i use ESM on the old box to try to change the replica settings, it throws an SSL cert error.Any ideas?I mean if this will go away when the 2003 box goes away, that's fine. I'm assuming that since the error message references the "old" First Administrative Group on the Exchange 2003 server, that i should add this a replica of the Exchange 2010 server to the First Administrative Group, not the Exchange Administrative Group (FYblah blah blah). Or am i horribly mistaken? And if this is the case, why is this error message appearing on the new serv

Everything has been working smoothly with no issues. I followed the migration procedures as best as I could and am fairly confident I did it correctly. I decomissioned the 2003 exchange server about 2 months ago now as everything was running smoothly. Just yesterday I was checking logs and noticed that a new error had started yesterday morning. The error is: Event ID 14029 - Couldn't find an Exchange 2010 or later public folder server with a replica for the free/busy folder: EX:/O=DOMAIN/OU=EXCHANGE ADMINISTRATIVE GROUP (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT). I have searched all over the web and everything points to improper migration of public folders. During the migration I ran "addreplicatopfrecursive.ps1 -toppublicfolder \ -servertoadd $env:computername" then I ensured replicas were defined in the PF management console for schedule+ free busy sub folders. As I mentioned, everything appears to work properly in exchange 2010 but I'm getting this 14029 error every 15 minutes. I have tried addreplicatopfrecursive.ps1 -toppublicfolder "\non_ipm_subtree\schedule+ free busy" -servertoadd 2010server to no avail. I also tried changing the OAB distribution method to web. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Most of what I'm finding online suggests the 2003 server must still exist... I don't have this option and am frustrated. Thanks!
