Exchange 2010 Public Folder Calendar
Dtd 17/05/11 Problem Event ID 14029 Couldn't find an Exchange 2010 exchange 2010 public folder replication or later public folder replica for the free/busy folder: EX:/O={your domain/OU={your administrative group} The message is quite straight forward, exchange 2010 public folder management Older Outlook clients (2003 and earlier) get their scheduling and calendaring info from the "SHEDULE+ free/busy" public folder. Newer Outlook clients (2007 and later) don't need to do this. You are seeing this error message because, a)
Exchange 2010 Public Folder Database Missing
you have Older Outlook clients in your Exchange org, or b) Someone forgot to replicate this public folder over to Exchange 2010 when you upgraded. Solution 1. On the Exchange Management Console > Toolbox > Public Folder Management Console > Expand "System Public Folders" > Expand "SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY" > Select the folder that's generating the error > Right Click > Properties. 2. Replication tab > Add > Add in the Exchange 2010 Server > Apply. 3. Finally, either reboot the server, or restart the MSExchangeMailboxAssistant Service. The old Exchange server is still in place, but am almost ready to decommission http://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?t=35548 it. Whenever i use ESM on the old box to try to change the replica settings, it throws an SSL cert error.Any ideas?I mean if this will go away when the 2003 box goes away, that's fine. Other than this minor issue, going to 2010 was pretty easy.. scorp508 Ars Legatus Legionis Tribus: Boston, MA Registered: Apr 24, 2006Posts: 10161 Posted: Thu Mar 11, 2010 5:27 pm You can also use this method to add a replica for Free Busy.http://social.technet.microsof...5d-aa60-a3c051fadd82 Da G Man Ars Tribunus Militum Registered: Dec 3, 1999Posts: 2953 Posted: Fri Mar 12, 2010 1:51 pm OK, i guess i'm a little confused about what parameters to put into the Set-PublicFolder cmdlet. I'm assuming that since the error message references the "old" First Administrative Group on the Exchange 2003 server, that i should add this a replica of the Exchange 2010 server to the First Administrative Group, not the Exchange Administrative Group (FYblah blah blah). Or am i horribly mistaken? And if this is the case, why is this error message appearing on the new server then? It's not even in the legacy First Administrative Group.. 3 posts Ars Technica > Forums > Operating Systems & Software > Windows Technical Mojo Jump to: Select a forum ------------------ Hardwar

The SBS server no longer exists but I keep getting errors in the event log on the 2008 machine saying "MSExchangeMailboxAssistants couldn't find an Exchange 2010 or later public folder server with a replica for the free/busy folder. EX: /o=ABC/ou=first administrative group" I know "First administrative group" was the database for the mailboxes on exchange 2010 the old server. How do I get it to quit looking for it?
