About [SOLVED] Exchange 2010 - Outlook Web Access error 403 access is denied 7 May 2011 by Adrian Gordon Problem: When you go to access your Outlook Web App website you recieve the following message: Server owa redirect Error 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied. Solution: In Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010 Outlook Web Access (OWA) uses HTTP Secured (HTTPS) by default and therefore when you type the URL you must type https://server.domain.com/owa instead of http://server.domain.com/owa You can also configure your server to automatically redirect http request to OWA web site as https exchange 2013 owa redirect requests: Log onto your Exchange server hosting the Client Access Server (CAS) role Open the IIS Management console (Start -> Administrative Tools -> Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager) Expand the ‘Default Website' and click on ‘OWA' From the main window, click on ‘HTTP Redirect' Place a tick next to ‘Redirect requests to this destination' Enter in the full https address for your OWA install. Instead, you can use the “HTTP Redirect” feature in IIS 7.0. You can find this by clicking on the Default Web Site in the IIS Manager as shown below. Clicking on “HTTP Redirect” brings you to https://www.itsupportguides.com/exchange-2010/exchange-2010-outlook-web-access-error-403-access-is-denied/ the below screen. Here you should check “Redirect requests to this destination” and enter the absolute path to OWA (e.g. https://mail.exchangelabs.dk/owa). Also make sure you check “Only redirect requests to content in this directory (not subdiretories) and make sure the selected status code is “Found (302)”. Then click “Apply”. Because any redirection configured on the Default Web Site is propagated to the lower-level vdirs, you must remove the redirection http://www.msexchange.org/blogs/walther/news/simplifying-the-outlook-web-app-2010-url-465.html setting on all existing vdirs. You do this by click on each vdir and opening the “HTTP Redirect” button. Now simply uncheck “Redirect requests to this destination” followed by clicking “Apply”.
