I can log into the secure OWA site without issue and can send and receive emails http://www.msexchange.org/blogs/walther/news/exchange-2010-sp1-experiecing-an-owa-http-500-error-554.html fine. When i attempt to select any "option" such as set automatic replies or see all options I receive the following error message - "500 internal server error there is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and cannot be displayed". I have verified that all required exchange servicesare running. I am running exchange 2010 sp3 on server https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/8aa5481d-84ed-44c0-ad5b-5698b037d0b7/500-internal-server-error-owa-when-trying-to-open-options-exchange-2010?forum=exchangesvrclients 2012. I think it may an issue within IIS but i'm not sure Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Friday, August 16, 2013 3:03 PM Reply | Quote Answers 7 Sign in to vote Hi, According to your description, there is a 500 internal server error when you select any Option in your OWA. Based on my research, we can try the following steps: 1. Check whether Virtual Directories Authentication configured properly. Enable the ECP Virtual Directory with Anonymous and Basic Authentication. 2. Check on the Application Pools to view whether ECP Application Pool is running on .NET Framework v4.0. It maybe the incompletely installation of Framework that causes this error. If so, We can try to run the following command as Administrator: %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis.exe -i Or change the MSExchangeECPAppPool from .NET Framework from v4.0 to v2.0. Then restart IIS. If you have any question, please do not hesitate to tell me. Hope it helps. If not, check the event log as to why they won't run. share|improve this answer answered Jan 24 '11 at 23:40 DutchUncle 1,185715 1 You could also try the brilliant Test-ServiceHealth cmdlet. –Ben Pilbrow Jan 24 '11 at 23:43 add a comment| up vote 2 down vote I was having this same issue and the Microsoft Exchange Forms-Based Authentication Service failed to automatically start. from being out on-site. © Blackforce May 16, 2013 2010 500 ECP Exchange Server 500 Virtual Directory Exchange 2010 ECP / OWA see all options button, 500 Internal Server Error Had an issue today where the Exchange OWA, "See All Options" button didn't work. When you click this button it actually tries to redirect you to https://servername/ecp. This then causes the error : 500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. To resolve the issue I recreated the ecp virtual directory. First of all you have to remove it. Remove-EcpVirtualDirectory -Identity "ecp (Default Web Site)" Press Y to confirm removal. Then to put it back do the following : New-EcpVirtualDirectory -externalurl "https://externalurl/ecp" -internalurl "https://internalurl/ecp" -Server "servername.fqdn" Do an IISRESET and you should all be good. The error went for me. Share this:Tweet Please enable JavaScript to view the comments powered by Disqus.
