and I am having trouble with the correct syntax. I want to run eseutil /r e00 Exchange DB and logs are located on drive S:\program files\exchsrvr\mdbdata Here is my command S:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\bin>eseutil /r e00 "s:\program files\exchsrvr\mdbdata\pub1.edb" output Usage Error: Invalid argument 's:\program files\exchsrvr\mdbdata\pub1.edb'. Fails, exchange repair tool Microsoft Exchange Server runs a defragmentation process to eradicate the unused Storage space and rearrange Mailbox store and Public folders and stored data, so that it can become manageable. Eseutil utility is used for defragmentation of Exchange Server database. It scrutinizes the basic structure of the database and rearranges it to enhance the performance of the database. At times when you defragment the database, chances are that the process might fail half-way through. When the process gets stopped, user gets a temporary file Priv1.edb. When user renames this file, it gets disappeared. In similar situations, mailbox might have possibly corrupted and user cannot mount it.
