The original problem occured due to the server running out of disk space on the drive that houses the exchange server. I tried to run a backup of the exchange server but it failed do to lack of disk space. I ended up manully deleting some of the log files... for all users never delete one labeled Exx.log where the xx is a 00 or other number. [MSFT]May 10, 20133 0 0 0 Recently I was playing for a VSS issue at my Exchange Server 2010 environment – when I run the ESEUtil (with its https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/deva/2013/05/10/exchange-vss-at-exchange-server-2010-eseutil-fails-with-jet-error1032/ parameter /mh) command then I got the error “Jet error –1032”. > eseutil http://www.tech-archive.net/Archive/Windows/microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs/2010-08/msg00114.html /mh "D:\Temp\tempdb.edb" Extensible Storage Engine Utilities for Microsoft(R) Exchange Server Version 14.00 Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. The error code –1032 points to JET_ERRFileAccessDenied, which tells us that I cannot access the file, as jet error the file is locked or in use. This is the first time I noticed the issue at my end. When I investigated further I realized the issue - I have mounted the database and ran the ESEUtil. The database needs to be offline to read the header information. So I dismounted the database and ran the ESEUtil worked like a charm – bingo!! Happy failed with jet debugging!!
