[MSFT]May 10, 20133 0 0 0 Recently I was playing for a VSS issue at my access to source database failed with jet error 1811 Exchange Server 2010 environment – when I run the ESEUtil (with access to source database failed with jet error 1032 its parameter /mh) command then I got the error “Jet error –1032”. > eseutil /mh "D:\Temp\tempdb.edb"
Operation Terminated With Error -1811 (jet_errfilenotfound, File Not Found)
Extensible Storage Engine Utilities for Microsoft(R) Exchange Server Version 14.00 Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. All Rights Reserved. Initiating FILE DUMP mode… Error: Access to source database
Operation Terminated With Error 1032 Jet_errfileaccessdenied
‘D:\Temp\tempdb.edb’ failed with Jet error -1032. The error code –1032 points to JET_ERRFileAccessDenied, which tells us that I cannot access the file, as the file is locked or in use. This is the first time I noticed the issue at my end. When I investigated further I realized the issue - I eseutil jet error -1811 have mounted the database and ran the ESEUtil. The database needs to be offline to read the header information. So I dismounted the database and ran the ESEUtil worked like a charm – bingo!! Happy debugging!! I tried deleting the log files as well. Below is the error I get when trying to run ESEUTIL. Like "c:\program files\"?ThanksCam (in reply to cammy) Post #: 3 RE: eseutil error 1811 - 21.Jun.2004 2:05:00 AM Exchange_Admin Posts: 376 Joined: 23.Feb.2003 From: Texas Status: offline Oh me. People with only windows experience. You are correct that it will not like the space. So what do you do to correct that? Enclose the full path in double quotes.Example:eseutil /d "c:\program files\exchsrvr\mdbdata\priv1.edb"The above is all on one line.Hope this helps. (in reply to cammy) Post #: 4 RE:
