The service type is set to Manual and when I tried to start the service, I got the message,"The Microsoft Exchange Event service on local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do. ..."When I checked in the events, following event was reported:Event Type: ErrorEvent Source: MSExchangeESEvent Category: General Event ID: 5Date: 6/2/2009Time: 12:12:11 PMUser: N/AComputer: PS_E2K3_SETUPDescription:An unexpected MAPI error occurred. Error returned was [0x80004005].I followed one of the posts in this forum, http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvradmin/thread/f5642010-089c-4564-a890-af94c515972aThe post says, by LRM"I did some simulation of the case and you were right. It will automatically stop when the system does not need it, and will be started if the system needs it." I have following question:I would like to see exchange event service running on exchange server. WHat operations I need to do on exchange so that Exchange event service starts execution?Your help will be appreciated.
