This error displays when sending an attachment via Word using the File > Save & Send > Send as Attachment, or any other ways of doing the same thing (e.g. "Email" in quick access toolbar). However, and this is important, it doesn't happen all the time. It's fine for a while then it suddenly starts happening. A restart of the computer fixes it temporarily, mapi error outlook then it starts happening again. This is the one thing that differentiates my issue with everything I've found via Googling. This is only one user out of about 100 that is experiencing this. I've recreated Windows profile, and even swapped their computer but the issue still remains. I've tried: - Closing Word and Outlook and reopening - Reinstalling Office - Recreating profile - Setting up user on different computer - Turning off caching of shared folders in Outlook - Moving subfolders out of Inbox in Outlook My last resort, which I haven't got around to yet will be reimaging the computer with the stock Windows image. However since we've swapped the user's computer and he's the only one with the issue, I believe it must be something to do with his profile, whether it be his Outlook mailbox, or something else unique to him. Any ideas and suggestions are most welcome! A registry entry is not getting created. The following is a web page that explains this: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/cc815368.aspxInformation about a computer's MAPI subsystem installation in the system registry. All values in the registry entries are character strings. Message service installation programs are responsible for creating the installation information in the following system registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Messaging SubsystemMessage services normally add entries to the system registry. This is not happening with Office 2013.Add a new string value and name is MAPIX. Then open the string and set the value to 1.edited by Nancy on 12/4/2013 0 link paulaAdministratorPosts: 188 7/9/2013 paulaAdministratorPosts: 188 After extensive work on the MAPI error when using PrintBoss with Outlook 2013, we found two different solutions to the problem. This is what we suggest.1. Run all Windows Important updates. When testing, MAPI failed after the first Windows Update. We were able to get it working again after applying all Windows updates. Testing after the SP1 update, had it working since then.2. Run FixMapi found at the root of C:\Windows\System32. If after applying the updates and FixMapi, MAPI is still failing. Please let us know. 0 link NancyAdministratorPosts: 622 6/6/2013 NancyAdministratorPosts: 622 Occasionally, there is a report of MAPI call error in Outlook 2013, 32 bit, when using PrintBoss. We have not been able to duplicate the issue in-house, but will continue to monitor this configuration. 0 link share a link to this post close Powered by Jitbit Forum 8.3.8.0 © 2006-2013 Jitbit Software
