Partner site is running Exchange 2007 and has a Ciscogateway and our site is running exchange 2010 whichalso behind an asa. Esmtp inspection is off so there shouldn't be any issues with exchnage 2007 headers, and the issue only occrued when the email was addressed to a specific user but as of today it extended to a second user. Here are the error details Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists: User1 An error occurred while trying to deliver this message to the recipient's e-mail address. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you. Please try resending this message, or provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator. The firewall is interfering with the SMTP conversation between the sending client and recipient server.
