Nov 23, 2011 Comments Poblano Aug 31, 2011 MarcusF Education, 1000+ Employees I began receiving this error, occurs every 13 minutes a few nights ago following a reboot of the Exchange 2003, v 6.5 SP2, server. Sometimes it is paired with Event ID8213. My problem that may be a symptom of these errors is that I am unable to create mailboxes or email addresses for new users. I receive an error that The server is not operational. These problems began after I authorized some security updates through WSUS the day before my problems started. Any ideas on how I can correct this? Poblano Sep 8, 2011 MarcusF Education, 1000+ Employees Solved the issue with the inability to create user mailboxes. It was an unrelated DNS issue between my DC and the Exchange server. Add your comments on this Windows Event! Join the IT Network or Lminutes: Event = 9153: Microsoft Exchange System Attendant reported an error '0x800050000' when setting DS notification. Do you know what caused this and how to correct this problem? Thanks, Joshua Top 1. Error 0x80005000 from MsExchangeSA when setting DS notification I had a network event last night which isolated my Exchange 2000 server (SP3) from the rest of the network, and, in particular, my domain controller. Everything is seemingly back to normal now, except that I am getting the following Application Event logged twice every thirteen minutes: Source: MsExchangeSA Event ID: 9153 Microsoft Exchange System Attendant reported an error '0x80005000' when setting DS notification. As I said, everything seems to be working fine currently: my domain controller is visible from my Exchange server, and the mail is going through. I have not, however, been able to find any specific reference to or resolution for this event. This is a new installation of Exchange 2000 for a small 10- 15 user community, and I am new at being an Exchange administrator. I would appreciate hearing from anyone else who has come across this specific event, and learn how they dealt with it. Thanks 2. EDB log files in MDBDATA directory 3.
