I am able to get the http://forums.practicallynetworked.com/showthread.php?1324-Unable-to-start-Computer-Browser-Error-1068 internet on both but not file sharing? On one, it shows up under network places but the other just hangs and beeps when I try to open it. So, after hours searching the web, I found that the problem was most likely (I think) that the computer that hangs will not allow me to use the start tab under computer browser in management. I get "Could not start the Computer Browser service on Local Computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start". If anyone can held out I would GREATLY appreciate their help. Thanks! service started now. It keeps failing witht the statement box.... Could not start the Computer Browser Service on Local Computer Error: 1068 The dependency service or group failed to start. Alright, I am stumped. Since the service does not allude to any dependences, I can only assume that there is a corrupt DLL at the source of this problem. But where to find a list of those DLLs. Any clues as to what to do?
