I have had success displaying triangles which are hard coded and added to my triangle

list in the onSurfaceCreated() method. The problem I am having is when I try to populate my list of triangle objects from the stl file and draw them. Best I can tell, the coordinates of the vertices are all valid and in the proper format. I always get the subject error. I am having trouble debugging this problem and don't know what to do. Below is a section of code from my triangle class where the problem occurs. Specifically the error is on the line of code mMVPMatrixHandle = GLES20.glGetUniformLocation(mProgram, "uMVPMatrix"); MyRenderer.checkGlError("glGetUniformLocation"); public void draw(float[] mvpMatrix) { // Add program to OpenGL environment GLES20.glUseProgram(mProgram); // get handle to vertex shader's vPosition member mPositionHandle = GLES20.glGetAttribLocation(mProgram, "vPosition"); // Enable a handle to the facet vertices GLES20.glEnableVertexAttribArray(mPositionHandle); // Prepare the triangle coordinate data GLES20.glVertexAttribPointer(mPositionHandle, COORDS_PER_VERTEX, GLES20.GL_FLOAT, false, vertexStride, vertexBuffer); // get handle to fragment shader's vColor member mColorHandle = GLES20.glGetUniformLocation(mProgram, "vColor"); // Set color for drawing the facet GLES20.glUniform4fv(mColorHandle, 1, color, 0); // get handle to shape's transformation matrix mMVPMatrixHandle = GLES20.glGetUniformLocation(mProgram, "uMVPMatrix

When calling to GLES20.glUniform1i(samplerLocation, GLES20.GL_TEXTURE0) and checking if any error is found with GLES20.glGetError() I get http://stackoverflow.com/questions/29168639/error-1281-bad-value-when-uploading-texture-unit-to-sampler-in-java-android-gl an 1281 error (bad value) if executing in Genymotion emulating a Nexus 6 device. If I try the same with my moto g (2014 edition) I dont get any error with GLES20.glUniform1i, but instead when calling drawElements I get this other error: 03-20 15:09:23.087 9260-9692/com.manu.juegos.half_hero V/GLSurfaceView﹕ glGetString(7937) returns Adreno (TM) 305; 03-20 15:10:15.727 9260-9692/com.manu.juegos.half_hero W/Adreno-ES20﹕

But I still wanted to use for example SDL_ttf. But when I use that code: Code : // This function was already OK when I used SDL SDL_Surface *pFontSurface = Font.RenderTextSurface(sText, TextColor, RenderMode, ShadedBGColor); // This function is used because SDL_ttf returns rendered font in ARGB // This function cannot be the mistake because - when I remove it - it still doesn't work (apart from that it is in the wrong format) pFontSurface = ConvertSDLSurface->ARGB_To_RGBA(pFontSurface); glEnable(GL_TEXTURE_2D); // m_pImage->Texture is the texture the font image should be rendered to (GLuint) glBindTexture(GL_TEXTURE_2D, m_pImage->Texture); glTexSubImage2D(GL_TEXTURE_2D, 0, 0, 0, pFontSurface->w, pFontSurface->h, GL_RGBA, GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, pFontSurface->pixels); cerr << "OpenGL error: " << glGetError() << endl; SDL_FreeSurface(pFontSurface); glDisable(GL_TEXTURE_2D); cerr prints "OpenGL error: 1281" on the console. The mistake can't be a "glPixelStorei == 4" problem because I create the texture like this: Code : SDL_Surface *pSDLSurface = SDL_CreateRGBSurface(SDL_SWSURFACE | SDL_SRCALPHA, MyMath->power_of_two(GetTextureW()), MyMath->power_of_two(GetTextureH()), 32, #if SDL_BYTEORDER == SDL_BIG_ENDIAN 0xff000000, 0x00ff0000, 0x0000ff00, 0x000000ff #else 0x000000ff, 0x0000ff00, 0x00ff0000, 0xff000000 #endif ); SDL_FillRect(pSDLSurface, NULL, CColor(0, 0, 0, 0).GetColorRGBA()); S
