The issue is that your command prompt can't find any programs to match what you're entering. From your desktop, rick-click "My Computer" and click "Properties" In the System Properties window, click on the Advanced tab. In the Advanced section, click the Environment Variables button. In the Environment Variables window , highlight the Path variable in the Systems Variable section and click the Edit button. I don't know the default PATH values you need, but I am willing to bet you have

AM Greetings! So, I was kind of new to loom and planned to try some things out. Everything went fine upon installation but when i opened the command prompt and try the command "loom login", I got the error "The system cannot find the path specified." I also tried the other commands in the Getting started tutorial but found no luck. Also, I tried tweaking the directories but nothing still.. Can anyone help me please.. Thank in advance! ? jeremy.saenz Gangsta' Posts : 154 Feb 26, 2013 8:09 AM Thanks for posting, and apologies for Loom not working right away. I went ahead and made and issue for this (CLI-199). I will be sure to keep this thread updated as I investigate this issue. ? Levius Posts : 4 Feb 26, 2013 8:12 AM I'll try to help and investigate too! I'll try to update if I found any improvements.. ? Levius Posts : 4 Feb 26, 2013 8:41 AM I was browsing this link that was given by Sir Jeremy: http://carol-nichols.com/2011/03/the-system-cannot-find-the-path-specified/ and i tried running the process monitor (the software in the link) and tried to filter the activities of the cmd. I dont know if it's an error but there are results such as "invalid parameter", "not reparse point", "no such file" and others. i don't know if it's a helpful piece of information though. ? Jason Posts : 2 Feb 26, 2013 10:50 AM i had the same problem. after looking inside the bat file, i found the path to loom folder is kind of hard coded for x64 system which pointed to program files(x86). update the bat file to point to right loom folder, everything works fine. (i would prefer the cli be provided as zip file instead of exe, so i can simply unzip it to my prefer location and set the path environment to it) ? divillysausages Bug Reporter Extraordinaire Posts : 59 Feb 26, 2013 1:28 PM Open loom.bat and replace all the "%ProgramFiles(x86)%" strings with the actual path to program files (in my case "C:\Program Files"). It should look like this: @ECHO OFF @"C:\Program Files\Loom\ruby\bin\ruby.exe" "C:\Program Files\Loom\bin\loom" %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9 This fixed it for me ? jeremy.saenz Gangsta' Posts : 154 Feb 26, 2013 2:50 PM Hey guys, I have begun working on this problem, and have the code up for review as we speak. I would love one of you guys to test it as I don't have a 32bit Windows machine immediately accessible. ? Levius Posts : 4 Feb 26, 2013 4:23 PM Thank you! That did fix everything! I wasn't aware that the .bat was an editable file. Thanks again guys! ? Mordekai Posts : 2 Feb 26, 2013 6:59 PM @ divi
