script, but rasdial does not seem to want to work. My vpn connection is saved in: C:\Windows\System32\ras\SEEVPN.pbk I start a command prompt and type the following: rasdial SEEVPN username password where these https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/227391 are ofcourse replaced by the correct username and password. I then receive the following message: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Remote Access error 623 - The system could not find the phone book entry for thi s connection. For more help on this error: Type 'hh netcfg.chm' In help, click Troubleshooting, then Error Messages, then 623 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I have also tried the following commands with https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/e81fb2a0-2fcb-4589-beb6-db0786430bcc/rasdial-error-623-cannot-find-phonebook-entry?forum=w7itpronetworking the same result: rasdial SEEVPN.pbk username password rasdial SEEVPN username password /phonebook:C:\Windows\System32\ras\SEEVPN.pbk rasdial SEEVPN username password /phonebook:"C:\Windows\System32\ras\SEEVPN.pbk" I have also tried all of the above from after changing directory to C:\Windows\System32\ras. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I have managed to get this to work on previously on a Vista machine with no problems. Manually double-clicking on the .pbk file launches the vnp connection fine. I'm using Windows 7 professional 64-bit. Thanks! Hope that helps. Regards, Leo HuangPlease remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Posted August 9th, 2005, 2:23 pm I have been using (and enjoying) Firefox for quite a while http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=303680 with no problems. For the last several weeks however, when I navigate from one page to the next, I am bombarded with the Windows error message “Error 623" – navigating to “bostonworks.boston.com” always gets the error(s). Navigating to the same pages with IE works as expected. This recent flood of error messages makes it impossible to use Firefox. Microsoft the system help tells me this problem is VPN related. I am running “Windows XP Professional” and connecting to the internet through a Bellsouth DCL line. Is anyone else seeing this problem? eleanor Posts: 1167Joined: March 5th, 2005, 6:55 pmLocation: California Posted August 9th, 2005, 3:13 pm Haven't seen any single definitive answer to this. I went through it the system could myself, and I really don't know what finally fixed the problem. It's NOT necessarily a VPN issue. See if anything here might be helpful: http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... duct=winxp http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=256995 http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... 5&start=15 Windows 7 Home SP2 linguacious Guest Posted August 14th, 2005, 4:07 pm Thanks for the info. It gives me a better feel for the problem but nothing suggested in the links you posted gets rid of the error message. AI'm still muddling slong with the error messages popping up all over the plasce. It gives me the feeling thast someone over in Microsoft is having themselves a good chuckle. kenace0 Posts: 482Joined: August 14th, 2005, 9:04 amLocation: new mexico u.s.a. Microsoft seems to tie this problem to as VPN but I'm not using VPNs and others suggest it has nothing at all to do with VPNs (
