Windows Cannot Bind To Domain. (invalid Credentials). Group Policy Processing Aborted
domain environment, the event viewer got piled up withEvent id 1006 Userenv Error says that “Windows cannot bind to domain” and the system event viewer piled up with Event ID:40960 says the “authentication error to all DC's in the Domain” and the error code is "(0xc000006d)". I have done the below steps to resolve the issue, but nothing worked out. Could anyone tell did I missed to look anything or what is the cause of this issue. 1) Verified that client machine is able to access Share Sysvol and netlogon folder configured on the 4 DC’s 2) The time Difference between the Server and Clients is accurate. 3) The Binding order of the Network Interface cards is Correct 4) There are no cached Domain user account information in the client machine (Opened control keymgr.dll" remove any entries that but found empty windows) Many thanks in advanceRahul Monday, August 29, 2011 11:03 AM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Rahul, have you configured all network name resources to register in DNS- and enabled Kerberos authentication? If so, have you verified that the corresponding A records exist in DNS and SPN attributes have been properly set? It was a fresh install so added it to domain and waited for it to pick up the GP's. RSOP errored saying "group policy infrastructure fauled due to the error listed below - a directory service error has occured". So i checked event log. account only takes a few minutes. Join Now Troubleshooting some errors that are occurring on my workstation. I'm getting application errors (Event ID 1030 and 1006, source Userenv) and it appears to only be for one user - ME! Event ID 1006 reads: Windows cannot bind to *mydomain.com* domain. (Invalid Credentials). Group Policy processing aborted. Event ID 1030 reads: Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects. Check the event log for possible messages previously logged by the policy engine that describes the reason for this. I looked up the ID's on EventID.net but found no real help there. Hoping the spiceworks community can help. I've spent entirely too much time on this, but it's bugging me. Or you are the only user logging into this machine? By the sound of it, you "cloned" or "ghosted" this machine and changed it's name but did not change the Security Identifier (SID) of the machine. Now it seems to be completely confusing the AD -Computers portion. If this is the case: - Remove the machine from the Domain. - Delete the %machinename% from the AD (if still there) - Run an Application called "NEWSID", which is downloadable from here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897418.aspx - Re-add to the domain. 0 Chipotle OP Jeremy5285 Sep 5, 2008 at 3:33 UTC Well I am the only one that logs into this machine. When I log in using a domain admin account there is no issue. I am logging on as a domain user. This workstation is less than 3 months old. Never been cloned. 0 Cayenne OP Jason5373 Sep 5, 2008 at 3:38 UTC Are you authenticating through an SBS? 0
