Windows 7 IT windows firewall error 1068 the dependency service failed to start Pro > Windows 7 Networking Question 0 Sign in to vote I searched and none of the windows firewall error 0x6d9 'answers' given can solve my problem. Basically I was sharing my LAN network through my wireless pci card. Since my wireless pci card broadcasts dual band a/b/g/n I windows firewall error 0x80070424 figured it would help with my iphone and my other wireless networks. However one day it just stopped and I didn't quite have the time to fix it. But now I don't remember when it stopped working and I tried a system restore. Short of reformatting, which I really don't want to do, I'm stuck. When I

try to activate sharing it tells me, "Windows could not start the Internet Connectino Sharing (ICS) service on Local Computer. Error 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion." All my services for networking are on except this one. I tried the sfc /scan now, and it says nothing is wrong. I tried restoring to the earliest restore point I had... no luck. My computer doesn't have a virus.
