In the Alias box, type a name for the new virtual directory that you want Exchange ActiveSync and Outlook Mobile Access to use. In our case, it is exchange-oma. Click OK. 9. Right-click the new virtual directory. In this example, click exchange-oma. Click Properties. 10. Click the Directory Security tab. 11. Under Authentication and access control, click Edit. 12. Make sure that only the following authentication methods are enabled, and then click OK: • Integrated Windows authentication • Basic authentication 13. Under Secure communications, click Edit. Make sure that Require secure channel (SSL) is not enabled, and then click OK. 14. Click OK, and then close the IIS Manager. B) Add/modify a registry value to point to the exchange-oma 1. The users account will sync on an android or iphone but not a windows mobile phone. My account works on the mobile phone but everytime I try to setup another user I get the error listed above. I have already blew out and rebuilt the exchange activesync error 0x85010001 account. I have tried to create new accounts and set them up. The phone is an htc touch 2 pro, exchange 2003. I just don't know why the android/iphone will work but the windows mobile would not. The user has mobile access enabled, the server is set to allow unsupported devices etc. This worked fine since the user was setup then it stopped last week. I am trying to find out what changed but I just don't see anything. I am looking for clues on what to do. However, yesterday I had to make a periodic change to my windows password and that seems to have screwed things up. While I changed the password on the Activesync Exchange setup and my desktop computer is working fine, Activesync gives me the following error: Support code: 0x85010001. Your account in MS Exchange Server does not have permission to sychronize with your current settings. Contact your exchange server administrator. My admin folks aren't always super-helpful with this, so I thought I'd check here as well. Does anyone know how I should address this? Is there someplace I need to change my password that I haven't already done?
