Using PPC-6700, sprint, was set up 80072efd windows mobile to sync with Exchange (SBS 2003) from desktop and internet. Desktop sync stopped working but internet 0x80072efd activesync sync with Exchange still worked. Performed a hard reset and got desktop sync back but will not sync with exchange, error code 80072EFD. activesync 500 error I have installed the certificate on the windows mobile device, confirmed all the device and active sync settings. No Anti-Virus or firewall on desktop. It appears to connect to the server. I can see the network connections opened by http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mobiledevices/forum/mdupdate/activesync-error-code-80072efd/2dc84b5a-99ac-411f-a2f4-39cc00992998 Wcesmgr.exe between the PPC and desktop pc and also between the desktop pc and the SBS2k3 server. It connects, says it's syncing folders, and then moves on without syncing and produces the above error. It does the same thing when syncing via internet. Nothing has changes on the server. During troubleshooting I reissued the certificate but that did not resolve the issue. Any Ideas? viatetsuo, May 25, 2007 #1 Streaky I can't remember Messages: 11,765 Likes Received: http://forum.brighthand.com/threads/exchange-error-80072efd.241936/ 11 Trophy Points: 233 Welcome to Brighthand, viatetsuo. Is anyone else having problems doing a remote Exchange ActiveSync? I am the former Site Editor of Brighthand, but I now run the sister-site TabletPCReview. But I only have problems when I connect HTC and PC with USB cable. I've tried with othes cables but it's not the problem. I have several devices with the same problem. Solved exchange activesync error 0x80072efd Posted on 2006-05-20 Exchange 1 Verified Solution activesync error 9 Comments 6,127 Views Last Modified: 2008-01-09 i want to connect my hp ipaq 6915 with gprs and autd. Everything works fine when i do not use SSL. When i connect with SSL i get the error : 80072efd. i look at the http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/faqs/activesync/exchange_errors.php but don't manage to resolve the problem I set up a certificate server on activesync error 80072efd a terminal server in my network (connects with SSL too and works fine). i exported the certificate on the terminal server and imported it in the default web site. then i exported the certificate too my pda too with certutil and installed the certificate. i see that through the firewall my device connects too the server on port 443 but no bubble message arrives. i guess there is a problem with the certificate but i don't see what i'm doing wrong. i tried an oma connection on the server itself to see if ssl works fine but again i get an unresolvable error : msexchangeoma event 1503. Any help would be appreciated .... 0 Question by:McRight Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 104 Best Solution bySembee If OMA doesn't work, then you may have a more serious error. Ensure that you don't have require SSL configured on either /exchange, /Microsoft-Server-Activesync or /oma virtual directories in IIS Manager.
