Me too! One of our clients is getting this error too. They have a PocketPC 2003 device syncing over a wifi connection on the WAN side. They use SBS 2003 with all service packs and Exchange 2003 with SP2. I've checked knowledge base article 842541. Indications are that this error occurs because the user may have a very full calendar and that it's supposed to have been fixed with Exchange 2003 SP2 - but my user has disabled syncing of his calendar and the server already has SP2! Any clues from anyone would be most helpful. functioning fine. At random, users on the affected MBX server will lose their ability to sync their mobile device, namely iPhones. Error Received: "Cannot Get Mail. Connection to the Server Failed" Also, whenever a new user is created and placed on the affected MBX server the ActiveSync connection will not work. Most existing users on the server seem to function fine. Here is the error that is logged in the event log. Event ID: 3005 "Unexpected Exchange mailbox Server error: Server: [mail.example.LOCAL] User: [john.doe@example.com] HTTP status code: [409]. Verify that the Exchange mailbox Server is working correctly." Strange thing is, i can go into IIS, browse the OMA directory with the user credentials and it works just fine. The only thing that i have found that corrects this issues is to move the affected mailbox off the server to a new mail store, then move it back onto the affected serer. This clears the issue and the phone is then able to Sync. I have been working on this for weeks and have not found a solution. I would appreciate any help/ideas that anyone can offer. Havent come across this myself, but if moving users off to anoter store then moving them abck solves this, why not just create a no store and move all the users there.Sukh Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now June 29th, 2011 2:56pm Hi, From the problem description, I understand that IPhones users are unable to use the Exchange ActiveSync on Exchange server 2003. And I noticed that only the IPhone users are unable to connect to the Exchange server 2003. Based on the current situation, we need to do the test on the website: https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ to verify the error message or error code you received on the webpage. At the same time, you could enter the URL: https://localhost/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync in the IE browser on the Exchange server 2003 to verify the detailed error coded you received on the webpage.
