I developed a Flash (swf) file that plays a Flash video (flv) with cue points. It all works very nicely locally, but when I put it on the server and try to access the html file, the Flash control is white (nothing visible) and a popup error message comes up with this error. I've looked all over the web (including non-English sites), tried playing with all the Publish settings I could think of (version check, local/network access, omit trace, enable debugging) and tried adding error handling code to the swf file itself. I've also tried changing the path for the flv file to be relative, absolute and somewhere in between, but nothing works. Does anybody know what can cause this error? I've run into quite a few errors and I'm sure someone here can give quick answers. Here is my vid class. Code: package { import fl.data.DataProvider; import flash.display.*; https://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?273449-a-battle-with-FLVPlayback import flash.events.*; import fl.video.FLVPlayback; import fl.video.VideoEvent; import fl.video.VideoError; import flash.text.TextField; public class video_player extends MovieClip { public function video_player() { player.autoRewind = true; player.bufferTime = 1; player.idleTimeout = 100000; player.autoPlay = true; player.addEventListener(VideoEvent.READY, video_ready); //player.addEventListener(VideoError.NO_CONNECTION, ios); } public function ios(e){ trace(e); } public function play_vid(id) { player.stop(); player.ncMgr.close(); player.play("http://mydomain.com/videos/"+id+".flv"); player.autoPlay = true; } public function video_ready(e:VideoEvent) { trace(player.totalTime); if (player.totalTime) { total_te.text = "Total: " + player.totalTime.toString() + "sec."; } } public function set_meta_data(date:String, start_time:String, stop_time:String) { start_t.text = "Start:" + start_time + "sec."; stop_t.text = "Stop:" + stop_time + "sec."; date_t.text = "Date:"+ date; } public function set_tags(t:String) { vid_tags.text = t; } } } Simple enough. So in my main you click some buttons and it sends IDs to the player which is in this classes movieclip. #1 How do i catch video errors? Jul 31, 2009 Why does my swf's skin referenced by a simple component FLA work locally but NOT live? There's no AS3 in the component FLA. It's just a one-layer component referenced to the the FLV. When I test locally, IN FLASH CS4 ONLY, and click on "Animalia - Verse From as3 error the Zoo" the FLV and skin load and the video (source FLV - "Sequence01.flv") plays. But the same thing live only loads the swf for the FLV file area but NO SKIN. Try it yourself, please:Has anyone had this problem and knows the solution? All files are in the SAME FOLDER on the web server. I've tried every URL and path combination I can think of on the website. I've tried referencing the whole as3 video error URL.Yet whatever path combination I try, either nothing happens, or I just get the FLV box but no skin. Which is what's happening now. Publish settings are set to Flash Player 10 for all files. And I've tried the component SWF WITH and WITHOUT the fl.video package (import fl.video.*. No difference. Why does the skin load and play locally but not live? It's all AS3. No AS2. And it does not seem to be a "publish settings" issue as far as I can see. The relevant code in my API is:var AnimalFLVLoader:Loader = new Loader();AnimalFLVLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN,fAnimaliaVOn);Animalia2.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, fAnimaliaVOn);[code].....
