So basically you are trying to access the visible property of a string which doesn't exist. "listBox1".visible = true; // error Try : this[listnumber].visible = true; share|improve this answer answered Aug 14 '12 at 14:11 Barış Uşaklı 10.8k22548 Wow! Thanks a lot Baris, that was quick and just what i needed. Is there any way to set visible to False when the item name is not listnumber? –Ian Cremona Aug 14 '12 at 14:26 if( listnumber != "listBox1") this[listnumber].visible = false; else this[listnumber].visible = true; –Barış Uşaklı Aug 14 '12 at 14:32 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Ema
