CrystalEnterprise.Smtp: (501) Hi folks, I am trying to schedule a report to go to a number of email addresses in XIr2. When I run it through the scheduler I get the 'address error. CrystalEnterprise.Smtp: (501)' error message. This lead me to believe that the addresses were wrong but when I checked in my own mail system they validate correctly. When I try and schedule the report and send it just to one or two addresses it works fine. Found reference to this on the web and its stated you cannot have more than one address in the .CC field. I have none. Can anyone help please. This has us completely stumped. Cheers Phil Back to top LAURIEForum MemberJoined: 09 Nov 2004Posts: 2 Posted: Wed Jun 21, 2006 8:37 amPost subject: Re: address error. CrystalEnterprise.Smtp: (501) Have you solved your problem yet? I have been having the same issue and found out that if you are using a Distribution List from OutLook it needs to be a Global list. Local Distribution lists will not work. You also must right click on the distribution list and get the exact email address to type in not the descriptive name – Example my list was called Business Objects Develops. The actual email address was DList000@xxxx.com. This seemed to work._________________Thanks, Lori W Back to top weephilSenior MemberJoined: 19 Apr 2005Posts: 51Location: Aberdeen Posted: Wed Jun 21, 2006 8:44 amPost subject: Re: address error. CrystalEnterprise.Smtp: (501) Hi Lori, Thanks for your reply. No I've not fully got this working yet. Have got round it using global distribution lists like you say but have the same problem as yourself using local lists where you end up having to type in the actual address or addresses. I've logged a call with BO and someone is looking into it for me..
Issues in scheduling and possibleresolutions -- Spool Space (Database issue): Every user would be allocated with a specific spool space in database.  Which will consumed while instance is running on that user. if Multiple huge reports run for a specific user on database through business objects webi instances,  few among them would fail to run completely just of because of lacking space in database. which results in failure of those instance. Once we re-schdule those failed once again with gap of some appropriate time, every schedule will be picked up and complete. Note: A database error occured. The database error text is: [NCR][ODBC Teradata][Teradata Database] No more spool space in BO_User2072. . http://www.forumtopics.com/busobj/viewtopic.php?t=64149 (WIS 10901) -- Web Intelligence server cannot be reached (Tool issue): This issue is very common issue observed in business object environment. Most of the times issue is with timeout of connection, idle timeout. Idle timeout is something which is set in server-side to avoid long running reports in system. remedy of this is also to re-schedule the failure schedules one by one then everything will be picked up. It used to happen whenever administrators work on addition (or) modification of Destination server,Job Servers, were they need set destination details. resolution for issue is something your administrators should check. i.e; 1. Check whether recently have we added any destination server (or) Job servers and forgot to set destination details. 2. Check if any of the destination (or) job server is modified for some reasons. If yes and correct the same. Finally resolution for this would be correction destination details in mentioned servers of business objects central management console. CMC-

Solved SMTP Error when scheduling run of BO Posted on 2014-05-07 SAP Crystal Reports Exchange 1 Verified Solution 7 Comments 1,585 Views Last Modified: 2014-05-08 I am getting the following error when trying to schedule a instance of a BO that sends an email to an SMTP address outside our network. "address error. [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp]: [Error sending address(es) to SMTP server. Return code: [SMTP 550 - Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable.]. Reason: [abc@123.com, eft@123.com].]" I have successfully run the objects when they send to an internal Exchange address, but outside SMTP fails. I can ping the Exchange Server from the SAP BO server and I have a Receive Connector in the Exchange server that allows SMTP relay from the SAP BO server. I'm not quite sure what else to check. Any thoughts? 0 Question by:Jake Pratt Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 63 Active 1 day ago Best Solution bySimon Butler (Sembee) I don't think your connector is configured correctly. Your work around doesn't use relaying, which is why it works. You send to the group, which is accepted by Exchange as it is an internal address, Go to Solution 7 Comments LVL 18 Overall: Level 18 Exchange 18 Message Expert Comment by:suriyaehnop2014-05-07 Do you receive connector was configured with this permission.
