I had the same error when I installed XI on a laptop that was configured to work within a corporate network, but installed it off the network. I believe the error was due to the system name not having a fully qualified network name, but I wanted it to work off the network. I got around this by stopping all services in the CCM, restared the CMS, disabled then reenabled all servers in the CCM, then restarting them all. I was able to run XI off the network after that. Start with SAP https://scn.sap.com/thread/3751243 note 1745855 and you can also refer to 'configuring under firewall' section in Admin guide. To confirm this you can temporarily disable firewall. If you have designer installed on server, confirm if you are able to save report using the same.Hope this helps.Regards,Onkar Alert Moderator Like (0) Re: Transport error: Communication failure.(FWM 00001) Jeff Guge Jun 5, 2015 10:49 PM (in response to Onkar Velhal) Currently Being Moderated First - thank you for your quick reply. Both boxes are within our company firewall (server and the laptop we are trying to publish from). It appears the firewall is turned off on the server. I will do a little more research on this and let you know if I find anything regarding the firewall.
