When i schedule the report on BOXI3, i am getting the following error server error. [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp]: [Error initializing SMTP server. Return code: [TCP open failed.]. Reason: [remotesmtp@mot.com:25].] I checked the SMTP Service on the server, it is running properly. can you guys please advise me on this issue? Thanks in advance. Did you solve this? Maybe you could check if the port 25 it is the correct port. Issues in scheduling and possibleresolutions -- Spool Space (Database issue): Every user would be allocated with a specific spool space in database. Note: Web Intelligence server cannot be business objects error reached. Contact your Business Objects administrator. (Error: RWI 00236) -- SMTP Syntax Error (Human error): SMTP syntax message came quite frequently for many of the schedules created by business users. these schedules usually lack of complete information of email address of a particular user mention "TO" (or) "CC" list of Scheduling instance. Resolution for such failed instance, used to email schedule instance owner to correct that particular user information respective fields. Note: address error. [Error sending address(es) to SMTP server. Return code: [SMTP 501 - Syntax error in parameters or arguments.]. It used to happen whenever administrators work on addition (or) modification of Destination server,Job Servers, were they need set destination details. resolution for issue is something your administrators should check. i.e; 1. Check whether recently have we added any destination server (or) Job servers and forgot to set destination details. 2. Check if any of the destination (or) job server is modified for some reasons. If yes and correct the same. Finally resolution for this would be correction destination details in mentioned servers of business objects central management console. Reason: [XXXX:25].]: [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp] and learned that it may occur if A)administrator may have stopped the mail service to troubleshoot a problem B)mail server is right in the middle of rebooting C)the mail server is currently processing too many incoming messages or incoming requests let me know if any other reason out there for which we end up with this error and lets say exchange server was available(i mean it was online) but still getting this error (mostly C) how do we handle this at the exchange server end? any parameter to increase/fine tune?
