I have seen this when other users are opening large reports. Do you have limitation on the number of rows returned in your universes?_________________Tom Thompson Back to top kol126Principal MemberJoined: 04 Jan 2006Posts: 112 Posted: Wed Oct 10, 2007 9:00 amPost subject: Re: WEB INTELLIGENCE SERVER MEMORY FULL - ERROR ( WIS -30280 No its just one person running those webi reports and it just doesnt happen to one report but for all the webi reports . but what we have done is recylced the webi servers and that seems to have resolved the issue. but would like to know the real cause for that error . thanks kol Back to top melonPrincipal MemberJoined: 15 Sep 2005Posts: 201Location: Orlando, FL Posted: Wed Oct 10, 2007 9:03 a

SERVER MEMORY FULL ERROR WIS 30280 We had a problem on opening all Webi reports. We found that the error message appears because the Web http://businessobjectsbi4.blogspot.com/2013/02/error-wis-30280-web-intelligence-server.html Intelligence server stresses the memory resources when processing many reports containing a large amount of data. Solution To resolve the error message, it is necessary to increase the memory heap size value. http://businessobjectsbi4.blogspot.in/search?updated-max=2012-11-08T01:46:00-08:00&max-results=12&reverse-paginate=true Follow these steps: Open the regedit ( Registry Editor) Go to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Session Manager. Click Subsystems > right-click Windows key > click Modify. Edit the SharedSection value from 1024,3072,512 to 1024,3072,1024. business objects Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\default\WebIntelligence\Server\Admin\SwapTimeOut. Update this value to 1500 seconds. Otherwise you could set this to a value higher than the Web Intelligence Report Server connection time out value found in the Central Management Console. This value is expressed in minutes.( default is 20). Restart the Web Intelligence Report Server: You could also set the Heap values from 1024,3072,512 to 1024,2048,1024. Let see business objects error what these parameters mean and their impact: The first value is the shared heap size, common to all desktops. It's used to store the global handle table and shared system settings. By default, it's set to 1024KB. You generally do not need to modify this value. The second value is the desktop heap size for each desktop associated with the "interactive" window station. It is used to store user objects like hooks, menus, strings and windows. By default, it's set to 3072KB. The more users that log into the system, the more desktops are created. Consequently, the total "interactive" desktop heap size will increase to reflect the number of desktops created. However, each desktop will only have an "interactive" desktop heap of 3072KB. The third value is the desktop heap size for each desktop associated with the "non-interactive" window station. By default, it's set to 512KB. But if this value is not present, the size of the "non-interactive" window station will be the same as that of the "interactive" window station. Translation Manager (BO XI R3.x) Beginning from Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.0, SAP Business Objects provides a new support for multilingual content(Web Intelligence documents and universes) in order to allow the designer to create reports for a multilingual audience. The plus is that instead of having to create a report for each language, its content will be translated and the document will be displayed in the reader's language, Translation Manager is the tool that provides a complete framework to supportmultilingual content in XI 3.x: • It proposes a simple graphical interface for easy and simple translations • It is fully integrated to the XI 3.x and supports all the supported CMSauthentication modes as well as the offline mode. • It can collaborate with external translation tools by exporting and importing XLIFF (XML Localization Interchange File Format) files; the XML format for exchanging localization data. • It manages more than 100 locales. • It allows the different stakeholders to manage translation steps through validation status. In this first version, Translation Manager handles: • XI 3.x Universe Designer (unv files): all universe metadata. • XI 3.x Web Intelligence (wid files): document prompts only. Please Note: Translation Manager can not open universes or Web Intelligence documents from a previous version of XI 3.x. If you have files from a previous version, you have to migrate them into XI 3.x first. Translation Manager saves the localized content in the Web Intelligence documents or in universes.
