Check that there is a valid email in the user profile of the Enterprise Recipient included in the publication. It helped us at least. by the Job servers - Crystal Reports are emailed via Crystal Reports Jobs Sever and WebI reports are delivered via Web Intelligence Job servers. So, here is a image walk through of the steps to set up the Job Servers' so you can schedule reports and send them out to users' emails. I created a dummy WebI report called "WebI Email Test". 1) We have a typical Web Intelligence report here and we're viewing it's location http://scn.sap.com/thread/1973426 in Infoview so we can run it here. 2) Let's run it, no prompt or anything like that, plain and simple. 3) Let's go to Central Management Console (CMC) and schedule this report to be emailed to a user. 4) Move onto "Schedule" tab. 5) Let's set it to Microsoft Excel format, i.e. Schedule this report to be delivered / emailed in MS Excel format. 6) Destination 1: Now we need to up the Destination for http://www.letslearnbi.com/2009/05/29/how-to-email-scheduled-reports-in-business-objects/ this to be scheduled report. In this case, we'll be Emailing this report. From the drop down menu, select "Email (SMTP)". Then click on the radio button next to the "Set the values to be used at schedule time here:" . Enter an email address to be sent "From" and email address(es) to be sent "To", along with CCs if any. 7) Destination 2 - Go / scroll down a bit. In the "Subject" - we'll select "Title" from the drop down menu next to where it says "Add a placeholder for a variable property"and simply "Add" it so that the recipient(s) can see the Title of the report as their Subject line. You can select any of the other available properties like ID, Owner, Datetime, User Full Name, Email Address. I will also check the box for "Attach object instance to email message", so that a copy of the report is also attached to the recipients emails. I mean, what's the point of emailing from Business Objects users, if there are no attachments right? 8) Let's click on "Schedule" once more and we'll just do a one time schedule to run now. You can of course, and will most likely will have to schedule as per the user requirements, be it daily, weekly, monthly or based a some specific dates selected in a custom Calendar (I'l

Dynamic Recipients are often used with Crystal Reports that are not connected to a Universe and do not have BOBJ users business objects associated with the reports. In our example we will create a publication using the webi report from the previous post and distribute it to a dynamic recipient list. Our list will contain a list of stores and their associated state and email. They will receive an email containing the pdf report filtered according to their state. Step 1: Let's re-use the report that we created in business objects scheduling the previous post Step 2: Now let's create our dynamic recipient list as a new Web Intelligence document. Note: I've created a dummy email address object in the Universe, but in your case you would use a real email address according to whomever the report will be distributed to. In our report we will select Store Name, State and Email Address. Great! Now you've created your dynamic recipient list whom you'll be distributing reports based on their state to. Step 3: Let's proceed to create our publication. In this post we will only go through what is needed for Dynamic Recipients so if you want detailed instructions on how to create a publication, please visit my previous post on bursting reports in Business Objects. Instead of setting up the Enterprise Recipients list, we will setup the Dynamic Recipients list instead. The Store Name object will be mapped to the Recipient Identifier and Full Name fields. The Email object will be mapped to the Email field. Make sure Use entire list is checked. We can uncheck it, if you want to manually select which stores in the dynamic recipient list to include and exclude, but in this

In my scenario i want to send my report to many receipients. But i dont know where to edit the default recipient settings. Can anyone help me with this. business-objects share|improve this question asked Mar 6 '14 at 9:15 karthik 188 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote From InfoView you can set the recipients for a particular scheduling run. Click on the "Formats and Destinations" tab, select the format and destination (Inbox, File location, FTP, or Email), then click on "Destinations Options and Settings" to choose the recipients. To set the default recipients (or any other scheduling options), you must use the CMC. It the report's Properties, there is a Default Settings tab. Set your default scheduling settings here (this action will not actually create a schedule). Now, when you schedule the report (either from CMC or InfoView), it will reflect the default settings you have chosen. Note that what you set for default settings will apply to anyone who schedules the report, not just you. share|improve this answer answered Mar 6 '14 at 13:35 Joe 5,2251824 Thank you. I figured it out. –karthik Mar 6 '14 at 14:19 Even we can change the Recipient and sender without going to CMC. We need to uncheck the default sender option and provide the sender, receiver, subject of the mail and the file . So that we can send to any recipient without changing the default recipients –karthik Mar 24 '15 at 10:33 I understood your question to mean that you wanted to change the default scheduling settings, not that you wanted to override the defaults for a particular schedule. –Joe Mar 27 '15 at 12:25 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote accepted I figured out the way to add the recipient and sender manually. the default recipient option need to be unchecked and then we need to provide the sender mail id and receiver mail id and we need to add the file with extension. For eg. Sender: xyz
