Err 36896 Comcast On Demand

My cable box has been reset every time and I am still not able to access shows because of this error. I have a subscription to the channels as it was working before. Everytime they say that they are sending a signal, wait 20 minutes. yesterday a tech came out, checked the signal strength coming in the house and said it was fine. he said that the issue with ShowtimeOD was a setup issue and it would be working within an hour. 6 hours later still not working.I called last night and they said something http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r24143131-Comcast-Showtime-OnDemand-ERR-36895 about the head end not being setup right. wait 24 hours and it will work. still didn't work.Called tonight, support tech said she was sending down a different showtime code. I had all the movie channels and they showed up in my live channel lineup, however when I went to on demand it says subscription service required (only for on demand).I"ll be honest this is not a common problem and even as a employee I had a lot of trouble getting it fixed because the problem is not listed in the tech support scripting because it's so rare.Anyway to fix it your going to need to ask a rep to send a Cold Initialize and a HIT to the card of your box. If you have a box without a card paired to the box then they need to send the INT and Hit to the box itself. Bad news is if you have a DVR then your going to lose your saved programs. Now the tough part will be getting them to do it because they are not supposed to send commands
