The PCs are configured with the SQL 2K SP3 client tools and we are connecting to a SQL 2K SP3 server. Debugger was working just fine. This week, we had XP SP2 installed on our desktops. Now http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic133770-9-1.aspx it would appear this has caused the Debugger to break. When we try to debug a SP, this is the error that is returned.Server: Msg 504, Level 16, State 1, Procedure sp_sdidebug, Line 1[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Unable to connect to debugger on DHSSQLD1 (Error = 0x800706ba). Ensure that client-side components, such as SQLDBREG.EXE, are installed and registered on 210094146DLRC. Debugging disabled for connection 90.Has anyone noticed this or has an explanation as to why the Debugger all the sudden stopped working on several PCs?Thanks in advance! Post #133770 Tyson L. Here's how to find it:http://www.sqlservercentral.com/columnists/bkelley/qa2k_2_2.asp?Tab=2One thing I haven't had time to do is figure out why it works for some people and not others on what are supposed to connect to debugger be "default" installs. As you've indicated, the docs on the debugger are rather sparse.K. Brian Kelleybkelley@sqlservercentral.comhttp://www.sqlservercentral.com/columnists/bkelley/ K. I have SQLDBREG.EXE installed on the client and registered on DMAHAPATRA1. Do you know what the problem might be? Changes in SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3) are probably causing this problem. With SP3, the ability to debug stored procedures by using Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 and older or by using pre-SP3 Query Analyzer is turned off by default. Application debugging (stopping at a T-SQL breakpoint while debugging a client application) is also turned off by default. To enable the debugging functionality, run sp_sdidebug, passing the parameter legacy_on. To disable debugging, pass legacy_off to this procedure. Note that Microsoft doesn't recommend running the sp_sdidebug stored p
